Senecio stapeliiformis is an upright, clump-forming succulent species native to South Africa. It produces cylindrical, fleshy stems with a distinctive blue-green coloration and subtle darker markings. The stems grow vertically when young but gradually elongate and arch outward as the plant matures, eventually developing a trailing habit suitable for containers or hanging baskets.

In summer, mature stems produce terminal inflorescences bearing bright reddish-orange flowers. Like many members of the genus, this species is adapted to arid conditions and performs best in well-draining soil with bright light.
