Farm life happenings today.
So thankful to be in the 21st century and have modern conveniences like air conditioning and closed cab ac tractors to do this hay hauling and mowing pastures in.

I remember when I was a kid and we would visit my grandparents in the summer during wheat harvest.
I’d help my grandmother in the kitchen preparing lunch for my grandpa and the other workers. We’d drive the big grain truck to the field, eat lunch at the side of a combine, fill the truck with the wheat they were cutting then haul into town to the grain mill.

The truck didn’t have ac but I don’t think it mattered much in those days. Because I don’t think it got to 110 degrees back then 😆
It was just a hot, fun drive with my grandma hauling wheat to the mill.
The good ole days.

We’ve been at our county show with the grandkids since this past weekend and watching them all compete and excel in various competitions.
Our oldest granddaughter got Reserve Champion American steer with her first homegrown Beefmaster steer and has made “the sale”.
This is quite an accomplishment of lots of hard work and determination.
This is a premium sale and if you’d like to contribute or bid it would be a fantastic contribution to our agriculture community and an investment in the future of these kiddos. Although you don’t receive this animal you do receive the satisfaction of investing in the future of agriculture and also a tax deduction.
