A heart-felt thank you to all who came out to Butcher and Bay today! It was a beautiful day to sharpen knives. Though it was breezy and difficult to keep the canopy from blowing away but we persevered!!

Many knives were saved today from a dull and dangerous life. They were given a new purpose and vigor!

Special shout-out to these three beauties. I had the pleasure of sharpening these japanese knives and they turned out beautiful and cut like an absolute laser beam!

Try this at home: hold a sheet of newspaper and slice through it with one of your knives. A sharp knife glides clean. A dull knife tears and drags.
If yours is tearing — it's time.
Remember: dull knives are actually more dangerous than sharp ones because you end up using more force, which means less control. More pressure = more accidents.
