Four D Ranch

Four D Ranch We are family owned and operated as we live onsite. 22 total acres with 10 acres of trails. We believe in quality not quantity as a standard practice.

High quality 24/7 hay combined with low volume high quality grain is just the foundation.

Great opportunity from a great friend of ours! Take advantage of this.

Please join me in welcoming Carrie to our team!

As we continue to navigate how to move forward with my schedule being so busy, it weighs on my heart all of my youth riders that would be missing out on lessons this summer. I am so excited for this new opportunity we are able to offer!

I have more things in the works as the summer nears closer so stay tuned! If you would like to sign up for Carrie’s 6 week program, please message our page.

As always, thank you for continuing to support our small programs. 💕

The annual horse Christmas feast was a great success. They came in with long faces and soon had stuffed faces. When every customer was asked if there was anything we could do to improve it was a resounding “nay”.” Merry Christmas to you all!

Merry Christmas to all of our wonderful boarders. Without your love, support, and business we would be up against a wall😁(watch the video for reference). We truly appreciate the growth and friendships you all had brought to our lives.

Recently I was at my doctors office, and she asked what I do for exercise. I told her, “Well, we have a horse farm, so… everything.” She got all excited and said she’d just been to a conference where the hot new fitness trend sweeping gyms across America is something called ‘barn chores.’

Yes. Apparently people are now paying money to pretend they muck stalls.

So of course I started thinking: why should they go to a fake barn when they can come do the real thing at mine?

For the low, low price of $200 a month, you too can enjoy an authentic full-body farm workout. Includes:
• Mucking stalls (cardio + aromatherapy you didn’t ask for)
• Leading 1,200-lb toddlers to pasture (strength + reflex training)

Add-ons:
• $10 to apply/remove blankets (great for the shoulders AND your humility)
• $20 to groom each horse (stress reduction… unless they’re in a mood)
• $10 to pick hooves (for when you want to test your life insurance policy)

Two horses = one hour workout. Or possibly an ER visit. It’s really dealer’s choice.

It’s the healthiest fitness program around: fresh air, nature, and the constant thrill of “Will this horse bolt and take me with it?”

Honestly, I think I’m performing a public service. Why join a gym that pretends to have barn chores, when you can come to my farm and get the full, unfiltered, manure-powered experience?

Another Thanksgiving feast prepared for the horses. 2 carrots and 1 apple all diced up and topped with a dribble of molasses, a Tribute candy cane flavored treat, a Tribute carrot flavored treat, and 4 low sugar treats. The sugar sensitivity horses skip out on the sugars with some extra carrots and low sugar treats. We have had zero complaints from the horses yet.

Happy thanksgiving to everyone! We are thankful for the relationships we have built and the friends gained. Our heart aches for the loss but the memories live forever. We truly are blessed with a great group of boarders, horses, and a growing/evolving barn.

As we continue to monitor the current outbreak of the neurologic form of equine herpesvirus infection (equine herpesvirus myeloencephalopathy, EHM), let's take this opportunity to discuss once more the importance of biosecurity measures to stop disease spread. We recommend the following biosecurity precautions for horse owners, particularly if their horses have recently traveled to horse shows or were exposed to horses that have traveled:

1) Monitor horses for clinical signs (including fever, discharge from the nostrils, toe-dragging or a lack of balance) and take the temperature twice daily. Temperature greater than 101.5 F is considered a fever.
2) Immediately isolate any horse(s) showing clinical signs. Equine herpesvirus is an aerosolized virus and is spread through shared airspace, direct contact, and contaminated caretakers or equipment. A good isolation area is a separate barn or shelter that does not share airspace with healthy horses.
3) Implement movement restrictions until the situation is evaluated.
4) Contact your veterinarian to evaluate your horse and to propose a comprehensive biosecurity protocol.
5) Increase biosecurity measures that include extensive cleaning and disinfection of surfaces and equipment that come in contact with affected horses: wash or sanitize your hands between interacting with horses; take time while filling water buckets and feed tubs, do not cross contaminate; minimize the use of shared equipment and tack.
6) Make sure your horse is up to date on vaccinations.
7) Establish communication with all parties involved (owners, boarders, trainers, etc.).

More resources and information regarding biosecurity are available on the Equine Disease Communication Center's website at https://equinediseasecc.org/biosecurity
