Before, during, and after. Extreme home makeover for the private paddocks is in progress. Sand followed by geo fabric, then some geo grid on top. Fill it with pea stone for drainage and top with stall mats. A fresh layer of bedding should make it home sweet home.

Any help that can be given to our friends at Horses Haven would be greatly appreciated. The work they do is absolutely amazing.

We always appreciate the support of our amazing community- we've updated our wish list with some items we could really use that help keep our residents comfortable, including fly spray, fly boots & masks, muck buckets, fans, and some other medical supplies (link in comments). You’re welcome to send items to the farm if you find better deals
From our hooves to our hearts- we thank you!!

PS Thank you for your continued patience as we are a little slower to respond to adoption & general inquiries

Detroit is getting the largest urban equestrian center in the country, and it's built for kids.

The nonprofit Detroit Horse Power is turning 14 acres in the Hope Village neighborhood into a $13 million facility with stables for 17 horses, indoor and outdoor arenas, and classrooms.

It uses riding to teach city kids confidence and life skills, all for free, and expects to reach more than 1,000 students a year. It opens by the end of 2026.

Make sure you clean and flush all water tanks after this smoke rolls out. I don’t know what this stuff is but it looks pretty nasty.
