At RAW Horsemanship, we believe in the power of horses to change lives.

Our youth riding program is designed to create an environment where children can learn, grow, challenge themselves, and develop skills that reach far beyond the arena.

We aren’t just raising horsemen and horsewomen.

We’re empowering future leaders.

Through horsemanship, we strive to teach more than how to ride. We teach critical thinking, determination, confidence, empathy, responsibility, and courage.

For the kids who don’t want to play a sport, but light up around animals.

For the kids who can’t sit still in a classroom.

For the kids who quietly hide in the corner.

For the kids who dream of the impossible.

For the kids who are afraid to try at all.

Horses are made for all of those kids.

For their differences and their similarities.
For their struggles and their strengths.
For the kids who need confidence, and the kids who need a place to belong.

Because sometimes, a horse can reach a child in ways that a classroom, a team, or a traditional lesson never could.

So let that kid learn to work with horses.
Let them learn patience, responsibility, courage, trust, and connection.

Let them discover that what makes them different may also be what makes them extraordinary.

All the love and praise to this gentleman of a 2 yo! Gus was caught, groomed, and saddled by Addison today (no help needed). Then he wore a bit for the first time and offered to lope around beautifully for his favorite rider Morgan Hall. It often takes a village to make confident opened minded horses and we happen to have a great one! Natasha Penley

Guess who’s turn it is to get halter broke? Eclipse is not a fan of being touched but he has still put his best foot forward. We are excited to watch him get comfortable and hopefully enjoy the learning process.

What a crazy amazing week with South Carolina 4-H Livestock and Equine Programs at 4-h Southern regionals! We are so proud of Riley on Shesa New Dawn and Alanna on Rising From The Ashes! What an incredible week we had. Nice riding ladies! Now we can start preparing for next year!
