Rainbow Eggs

Rainbow Eggs The ongoing story of our chickens and their rainbow eggs. Rainbow Eggs began with Red, our hen who laid gorgeous blue eggs.

After she died, we found some more hens that laid blue eggs, and then we discovered chocolate brown colored eggs, and then we fell in love with fluffy silkie hens and their little cream colored eggs, and then (sort of like a run-on sentence) we just had to order hens that laid olive green eggs and soon we had too many eggs (and hens) for just us. And wouldn't it be cool to have guinea hens to eat

the red ants? and ducks just because they're so cute? You can live the fantasy through us--or we might just pull you in. Rainbow Eggs seemed like a fun project for the kids--a way to learn about caring for animals, running a business and learning to save for college. Actually, we mostly lose money, but we like to put the egg money into the kids savings account. Anyway, chances are we have beautiful colored eggs if you need them and perhaps a chick now and then. We will always have a hen story--and pride ourselves in letting you get to know the hens that lay the rainbow eggs. You get a story and picture of a hen with each dozen eggs.
