🐔✨ All cooped in!

QQC has officially arrived at the Old Dominion Poultry Association APA & ABA Double Show!

Birds are settled in and ready for the showroom after a 5 hour drive. Waking up a little early to spruce up a few birds in the morning! I guess they weren’t too impressed with my driving. 😆🐔✨

Excited to see how everyone does, connect with fellow poultry people, and enjoy a great weekend surrounded by some beautiful birds! 🤍🐓

Let the show begin! ✨

One of my July hatches is really starting to come into her own! 🖤🐔 This Satin Showgirl is growing out beautifully, and I’m loving watching her develop more with each passing week. That dark color, fluffy feet, naked neck, and little crest already have so much personality!

Definitely one I’ll be keeping my eye on as she continues to mature here at Quirky Quills & Chicks Hatchery LLC. ✨

Behind the scenes at QQC Barn 🐔✨
I am excited about the new lighting added to the breeding coop side of the barn! With the days getting shorter, this addition makes a huge difference. After long days of teaching and tutoring, it gives me the extra light I need to still come out, check on the birds, make sure everyone is doing well, and keep up with my breeding program.

It’s the little upgrades that make farm life a little easier and helps me continue preparing for the next generation of chicks and allow my chicken farm continue to grow. 🐣💡

Just 7 more days until the Old Dominion Poultry Association Double Show! 🐔✨

If you’ll be there, make sure to comment and let me know, I’d love to connect!

I’m excited, a little nervous, but mostly just happy that show season is finally here. I’m looking forward to meeting other breeders, connecting with fellow poultry lovers, and seeing some absolutely amazing birds throughout the showroom this season!

My incubators are officially FULL, which means I have some 🥚 looking to make their way into YOUR incubator! 🐣

I currently have hatching eggs available from my Cochins and Brahmas.

My Silkie eggs will only be sold as assorted dozens or half-dozens. Your assortment may include eggs from my:

• Paint Showgirl Pen
• BBS Silkie Pen
• Partridge Silkie Pen
• Gray Silkie Pen

When you purchase Silkie orbs from me, you’ll also receive a little note explaining the acronyms/markings on your eggs so you’ll know which breeding pen each orb came from. 🥚✨

Message me if you’re ready to fill up that incubator!
