Kylie brought Ma a puffball. Here's how you cook it.

1. Make sure the puffball is fresh and free from worms.

2. Wash off dirt, cut off the bottom and peel.

3. Cut into quarters, make sure it's all white inside. Slice into 1/2-3/4" slices.

4. Dip into lemon juice and water to keep from discoloring and fry in butter over medium heat, adding more butter as needed.

5. When golden brown on each side, remove from pan and place on a plate. Repeat until the whole thing is fried. It took 3/4 lb of butter.

6. Serve hot with salt and pepper. Extra can be frozen and put on pizza or in lasagna etc.
