🌿 A Little Life Update From Our Tiny Farm 🌿
If you’ve been following our little farm for a while, you know that behind the eggs, sourdough, goats, and all the craziness of farm life, our family is what means the most to us. ❤️
Our sweet boy, Archer, is three years old, and we wanted to share a little update about our amazing little guy. After months of therapy, appointments, questions, and learning more about how his little mind works, Archer has officially received an autism diagnosis as well as an ARFID diagnosis. 💙
Archer has been in occupational therapy since November for sensory processing challenges, and we’ve been working hard to understand his needs and find the best ways to support him. He is incredibly smart, funny, loving, and full of personality. He sees and experiences the world in his own unique way.
His ARFID diagnosis helps explain some of the struggles we’ve been having with food. Archer is an extremely picky eater, and trying new foods can feel scary and overwhelming for him. We’ve been working on getting more foods into his diet, helping him gain weight, and making mealtimes feel less stressful. It hasn’t always been easy, but we are taking it one small step at a time.
Sometimes Archer communicates through movie and book references, and when he gets excited, his words can all run together. He has sensory challenges, and his autism diagnosis helps us better understand why certain things can be difficult for him.
We don’t want to change Archer. We want to understand him, celebrate him, advocate for him, and give him every tool and opportunity to thrive. His diagnoses don’t change the little boy we know and love. They simply give us a better understanding of who he is and how we can best support him. ❤️
As we continue navigating this new chapter, we are learning, growing, and taking things one day at a time. We are incredibly proud of our boy and so thankful for the people who have supported him and our family along the way. 🥹💙
So, from our tiny farm to your family, thank you for loving and supporting us through all of life’s seasons. Our farm may be small, but our love for this boy is bigger than anything. 🌱🐐🐓❤️
Love
