Another party in the barn 🥳. Happy 13th Birthday Maire Madigan! She is presently the youngest at Gaelic Glen. Fiona is less than a month older. Maire is friendly but quirky. She won’t eat from your hand but will from a cup! Such.A.Diva! We’ve used her and Fiona as examples of the difference between Huacaya and Suri. We love all our alpacas but Maire and Fiona are our favorites! Enjoy your sunny day, Maire Madigan!

Happy 18th Birthday Krugerand 🥳 we purchased him when he was two. He was so manageable for a male alpaca. We just fell in love with him. He left us in 2016 and made his way to the Davis Farm. He returned to us after he was the last one in his pasture last year as all passed before him. Happy Birthday to the King of Gaelic Glen Alpacas 🥰

It was shearing day on Saturday May 23, 2026. So glad it is over. Here are a few pics including a visitor in the pasture…..a turtle! They were exhausted after their Spa Day!

For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out WHY Fiona was giving me such attitude! Following me, grabbing my shirt, insisting on her air bath, dunking the water bucket multiple times)…… the list goes on! Then I saw the calendar. We missed her birthday on May 13. PLUS, she’s now a teenager, 13 🤦🏻‍♀️. That explains the attitude! Please wish our beloved Fiona a Happy Belated Birthday 🎉

Gaelic Glen Alpacas lost a great supporter yesterday. My dear cousin, Ray McGann, passed away after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Ray was instrumental in having our alpacas in the St Patrick’s Day parade in Cleveland as well as Akron. He had Glenna Mulligan’s first birthday party at the Hibernian golf outing! Another first for our alpacas. He brought visitors to the farm. He was Gaelic Glen’s “Security” at our farm tours. He was a good sport and marched in various parades all over Ohio. He was Rob’s “spotter” while Rob marched in the Leprechaun costume….Rob never fell with Ray at his side! Thank you from all the alpacas past and present for putting us on the map! We miss you already 💚☘️💚☘️💚☘️💚
