First chick of the season!

Once I get spring cleaning done, I will be loading the incubator again! I am moving around some of my breeds and reorganizing. I may have some grown birds available with that being said so keep an eye out!

I will be trying to get back with everyone who has messaged me since I haven't been very active on here.

Sorry to everyone who's been trying to get a hold of me. Ive dealing with my college midterms and my job is switching to a new leadership so everything has been a complete mess 😅

My brooders are completely cleared out right now, besides one little silkied serama chick, pictured with its surrogate mother 😂 I don't have anything in the incubators at the moment. I'm planning on filling them up tonight. All the chicks I had previously posted found new homes before I had the chance to post them individually.

We had a big batch of silkies hatch! I'm not too sure how many there are- I lost count 😂 but there's a whole lot to choose from! There's silkies and showgirls in the bunch. I'm sure there will be some satins and frizzles as well. I'm going to give them a few days to get their feathers in and I will be posting pics of the available chicks :)

Silkied seramas and cochins got settled into their new coops! These silkied seramas have all been living in the house for half a year now- it's a relief to get them moved out! I still have one of the girls inside raising her babies... She'll get the boot soon! 😂

I have one silkied cochin and one smooth cochin(carrier) left! They're bantams and the silkied parents are pictured. I had a few people ask through messages and on my page if these guys were silkie/cochin crosses. They are not! Just like the silkied seramas, meaning they are purebred cochins that just express the silkied feather gene.

Though I absolutely adore my silkies- these guys are just as soft and social, but less prone to predator attacks since they don't have a crest. If you are wanting silkies, but also enjoy to let them free range, these guys are a much better option.They go broody like crazy and they are wonderful parents. Some of my bantam cochin roos have even been known to take care of the chicks and sit on the nests with the broody hens.
