🍁🎃🍞A little taste of the farm is coming to town!** Our pop-up farmstand will be filled with homemade goodness—fresh-baked bread, cinnamon bread, sweet treats from the kitchen, and a variety of handmade goodies. 🧵🪡🎃🍁

It’s a family affair, with three generations pitching in to bring you things made the old-fashioned way—with love, a little hard work, and plenty of family tradition. We can’t wait to share it with you! 🍂🎃

🍂🎃 THE FARM IS COMING TO TOWN! 🎃🍂
We’ve been busy out here in the country dreaming, planning, baking, making, and getting things ready—and this week, we’re opening our Fall Farm Stand in the city! 🧺🌻
What makes this little stand extra special is that it’s a blended effort of three-generations. ❤️
🎃 Grandpa planted the pumpkins.
🌿 Grandma’s home remedies will fill the shelves.
🍞 And the kids and grandkids are adding their own homemade baked goods and goodies.
A little piece of our family, our farm, and our heritage will be waiting for you—from pumpkins and fresh-baked bread to handmade items and Grandma Bea’s Natural Products. And, if we can make it happen, maybe even some warm, gooey cinnamon bread—the kind that brings back memories of that sweet cinnamon smell at Silver Dollar City! 🍞
🍂We’re excited to share a small glimpse of what God is growing on the farm—because this little farmstand is just the beginning.
We’ve been praying, dreaming, and working toward something much bigger on the farm for next year, and we’re excited to give you a tiny preview of what’s to come. 🌾🤎

We will always love you

With heavy hearts, the Dollywood family mourns the passing of our beloved Dreamer-in-Chief, Dolly Parton. Everyone at Dollywood shares the sorrow of countless people around the world touched by Dolly’s warmth, wisdom and generous spirit.

Dolly’s heartfelt wish was that Dollywood always remain a place of joy, hope and togetherness—a space where families and friends could honor her memory, not with silence, but with laughter, music and shared dreams.

“The greatest privilege of my life has been helping Dolly bring her dreams to life at Dollywood,” said Eugene Naughton, Dollywood Parks & Resorts President. “Dolly’s heart was as vast as the mountains she cherished, and her compassion knew no bounds. She inspired generations to dream boldly and love deeply. While we grieve her loss, we are honored and committed to carry her light forward. Her legacy will continue to shine in every melody sung, every smile shared and every dream kindled within these gates.”

Dolly’s enduring legacy extends beyond her music and generosity to her remarkable work ethic—an inspiration to people everywhere. In her spirit, Dollywood will be open Wednesday as Dolly wanted, always reminding everyone with her signature sparkle -- “the show must go on.” Together, we honor her by carrying forward her message of love, perseverance, and hope.

Are you yearning to step away from the noise, get your feet on the ground, and learn to recognize the plants growing right under our noses?

Foraging for medicinal herbs isn’t just about gathering plants—it’s about slowing down, paying attention, learning from generations before us, and discovering the incredible ways God has provided for us in nature. 🌱

There’s something so empowering about being able to walk through the woods or fields and know what you’re looking at… what it can be used for, how to harvest it, and how to preserve it for your home.

And I’ve been thinking…maybe it’s time to share some of the things
I’ve learned throughout the years with other folks who desire to know more about foraging and such 👀🌿

A little time in nature. A little hands-on learning. A little foraging. A little herbal wisdom.

On this Saturday I am prepping for a full day of canning and rendering. I have the deer meat/soup bones/beef fat/pig fat all thawed, jars cleaned and sterilized, cutting board/knives/utensils ready, pressure canner seal checked, lids/rings ready......all the boxes checked. I have planned and looked forward to this day all week. It's my type of "spa day".

One last thing before I begin the process, crank up some good old gospel bluegrass! Some of my favorites came across the little speaker, "Farther along", "By the Mark", "Come and Dine"......then "I want to be Ready" started playing.

I've spent so much time this week gathering supplies, preparing the kitchen, anticipating how much I would enjoy this day of canning. How much time did I spend preparing/anticipating meeting my Lord? I'm ashamed to admit my focus was on my flesh and what I wanted in the here and now. Is it wrong to do things you enjoy? Absolutely not! However, I should be glorifying God in all I do!

As I prepare the meat, I am asking God to prepare my heart to do His work. As I fill the jars, I am listening to hymns and sermons to fill my heart with His word. As I clean my kitchen, I am asking God to cleanse me.

Prepping. Yes, I'm prepping my pantry on this beautiful Saturday and more importantly I am prepping my heart and soul for serving God because "I want to be ready to meet Him in the Gloryland"!

These days I've been waiting for life to slow down. Waiting to have a day to rest. Maybe not the kind of rest that means napping or sitting still. But the kind of rest that means doing things not because you have to but because you want to. No constant notifications. No rushing. Just sunlight through a simple window as I sweep the floor, read my Bible, hang clothes on the line, maybe can some jelly......just routine everyday chores.
There’s something about that old-fashioned way of living that feels… peaceful. Cooking meals that take time. Sitting in silence without needing to fill it. Finding comfort in routine instead of chasing what’s next.

Today I decided to do just that. Instead of filling orders, making products, doing paperwork, etc, I hung clothes (on the drying rack), reorganized my canning room, and cleaned up the Farmstore!

Anyone else ever yearn for a quieter, simpler time? Soon we will have our little country farmstore reopened so that y'all can join us for a moment of good old fashioned simple living!
