Thurston Family Farm, LLC Thurston Family Farm located in Peru, Maine, is a multigenerational farm which has been in operation more than six decades with various enterprises.

The original owners in the family were Marlin and Ethelyn Thurston who bought it in 1949. The current owners are Wayne and Adelia Thurston, who own a total of 340 acres. Their three children and spouses are all devoted and heavily involved in the farm. We are nestled in a valley three miles from Rt. 108 on Dickvale Rd.

We postponed for safety last week—but now we’re ready to welcome you with a warm sugarhouse, a roaring wood-fired evaporator, some sweet treats to sample (and puchase if you wish), and fresh Maine maple syrup flowing.

Come see the process, smell the steam, and experience one of our favorite traditions—right here on the farm.

We’ve made the tough call to RESCHEDULE Maple Sunday at Thurston Family Farm.

With the incoming storm, roadside parking would be unsafe - not just for our visitors, but also for our town road crew working hard to keep roads clear.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but safety always comes first.

✨ New Date: Sunday, March 29
10am–2pm

We’ll still have the fires going, the sap boiling, and the sweet maple smell waiting for you - just one week later.

Thank you for understanding and for being part of this tradition. We’re looking forward to seeing you - our community, friends, and family - on March 29, with clearer roads, better weather, and an even sweeter day together. 🍁❤️

Garden Update:
If you are looking for cucumbers...not the small pickling cukes), we have TONS! 20 Cents each/6for a dollar.
We get a few ripe slicing tomatoes each day...they are ripening slowly.
Corn should be coming soon...seems late & we planted early!
We still have beans, though they are dwindling (thankfully)!
Other than that we have peppers, carrots & zucchini in limited supplies.
Come on by!

We are thrilled that Brick & Stone Tavern is using our maple syrup for their special sips this weekend!!!
Swing into their place on Congress Street between now and 10pm tonight and try their custom Maine Blueberry Pancake Martini or the Spiced Sugar Shack! Then head to the farm tomorrow between 10am-2pm for all things maple!!
