Brand Hollow Farm We are a small family farm located in upstate NY. Our animals include highland and highpark cattle, goats and chickens. Psalms 50:10

We have a roadside stand with fresh eggs, fresh homegrown fruit(seasonal), fresh picked wildflowers,BHF merch and more.

It was a big day! Calves were brought into their own weaning pen and nose flaps were removed. Everyone is enjoying fresh hay, electrolytes and minerals. Hoping for a peaceful night for them and their mamas!

Mamas and babies still seem to be doing well. This morning there was a little yelling but they are starting to settle down ❤️

Day 2:

Loud and heartbreaking for sure! This morning was the worst of it so far. Nanette DuBrey Niemann can attest I’m sure 😫

They really are all doing very well. It’s one mama in particular that is creating all the ruckus. Miss Esther is the main culprit… man can she bellow!

Day 1:
Pray for us and our neighbors these next couple of weeks! Weaning process has commenced… to say these calves are unimpressed is an understatement! They will wear these nose weaners for 5 days which does not allow them to nurse but they can remain with their dams during that time. After the 5 days the weaners come out and they will be separated in their own pen with lots of fresh hay, electrolytes, minerals and grain twice daily. We will also be continuing the halter training process. I will post updates on how everyone is doing.

Open for discussion. We are considering selling our dam raised yellow highland heifer calf once weaned. We are starting the weaning process within the next week and she would be ready to go by October. We originally were going to retain her for breeding stock but are considering selling due to herd size limitations at the moment. She is calm, has a sweet disposition and great confirmation. She is expected to mature mini-mid sized. Dam and sire are both HHCA registered so she can be registered as well. PM with serious inquiries and know the market prior. Last picture is of her dam. We welcome farm visits or FaceTime to see her.

When they are so sweet and snuggly like Miss Phoebe and Rachael you sometimes just get the urge to sit on their backs 🤣 We are so grateful for very docile, attention loving cattle.

Abe is becoming high maintenance. You can’t go out in the pasture without him expecting to get brushed 🤦🏻‍♀️
