Welcoming the Summer Solstice: A Secret Garden Soul Ritual

Join us on the longest day of the year for an intimate evening of ceremony, reflection, and connection in our hidden Secret Garden at Harley Farms.

Tucked beside the creek and surrounded by nature, this special gathering will be guided by Serafina Nicole Lúz (), Soul Therapist, Dreamworker, and founder of Rising Wolf Collective. Through gentle somatic movement, guided meditation, journaling, dream exploration, and Tarot, you’ll be invited to listen deeply to your inner world and honor the turning point of the Summer Solstice.

After the ceremony, stay and linger in the garden with lavender lemonade, local bread, and fresh Harley Farms cheese. You’ll also take home a handcrafted Solstice Blessing Spell Kit and personalized ritual guidance to continue the journey beyond the evening.

Join us Saturday, June 13th at 4:30 PM, for Sante Arcangeli Winery’s annual Rosé & Oysters event at the farm!

Enjoy the debut of their 2025 Rosé of Pinot Noir, perfectly paired with fresh oysters from our friends at Duarte’s. There will also be plenty of our farmstead goat cheese, some mellow live music to enjoy, and, of course, our goats will be nearby, providing their usual good company while you sip.

A good time is always had by all, and we’d love to see you there! Head to to grab your tickets before they’re gone.

Our fields have been fluffed into neat lines, ready for baling. Across the road, Cliff’s field was baled yesterday, and it brought back memories of Cliff on his old rickety tractor, straw hat on, going back and forth all day waiting for the perfect moment to bale.

Over the years, Ben and so many strong young hands have gathered and stacked the hay. These days, the machines do most of the work. A baler can collect and arrange bales in a fraction of the time. Change is always happening, even right outside our front door.

This weekend, for the first time ever, you’ll see hay bales in our fields across the street. These fields have fed cows, grown berries, and become the resting place of our old beloved goats. Those pieces return to the soil, becoming bedding for the dairy, then compost, and eventually finding their way back to the land.

The cycle continues. Beautiful, really.

At this point, our girls know the farm routines better than we do, especially when it comes to breakfast time!

Our final mama has officially given birth, bringing this season’s baby goat count to 180... give or take a few, we may have lost track somewhere along the way.
For the first time in months, we’re finally ahead of the babies, and life in Goatland is settling into a more familiar rhythm.

Most of our pastures have gotten pretty tall. This year, we’re planning to try baling the grass and making our own bedding hay.

We’ve never done this before, so it’s officially one of this year’s farm experiments. Will it be worth it? We don’t know yet, but that’s part of the fun.

For now, the goats are enjoying their walks through the jungle of greenery.

Making chevre and fromage blanc takes 3 days from start to finish. We pasteurize the milk in one day. Curds are left in the pasteurizer overnight. The morning after we “flip” the cheese, which means we scoop the yogurt-looking solids into cheesecloth bags and hang them on the whey-draining table. The bags are left all day and all night to hang, allowing the whey to separate from the curds. The curds (cheese) are then removed from the bags, hand-mixed with a little salt and placed in the cooler before being formed into rounds and logs.
