This is my parent's house. This has been a very stressful and overwhelming time for them. The Peshtigo Feed Mill is doing an amazing fundraiser and my brother-in-law did start them a go fund me. I will post the link in the comments. I have always took pride in my community work, but I never thought in a million years I'd be doing it for my own family.

For those that keep up on our farm drama you will know these two birds very well. Again, it's that time of the year Cheetoh plays PokΓ©mon trainer. Her sister Mellow also has decided to join in. Both of these girls are viciously amazing and protective moms.

Cheetoh, unfortunately, has a problem as most know. So in light of the fun of good old Cheetoh and her need to 'hatch 'em all' πŸ˜…πŸ€£ I want to hear how many eggs do you think she will try to steal and hatch. We end up limiting her EVERY year, but she has other plans. Her record is 26 eggs we've taken away. That doesn't included the 13 we always let her keep. This year we let her have 7 eggs. We have them marked. So we know how many new ones she's adding. Best guess wins a dozen eggs.

Currently still digging out a path to the barn. I hope everyone is doing well and being safe. We had 8ft+ high drifts in our yard. Spring is around the corner, the ladies are laying and we are incubating eggs.

As always stay humble and kind 😊πŸ₯°

Spring is around the corner. It's been awhile since we've had an update. We welcomed a new addition to our family in October and things have just been so busy. Our oldest son is in hockey and the season just ended. So finally we can put our attention back to the page and giving updates.

GOOD NEWS!!! THE LADIES ARE LAYING!!!
We are finally getting our new lady's from last spring laying heavy and daily. So we have eggs available. We are trying our hardest to keep our prices low and reasonable for quality farm fresh eggs. As of right now we are going to keep $3 a dozen as our 2026 price. This may change, but we are trying to do what we can to give back to the family's that want farm fresh eggs.

HATCHING SEASON
As always spring is around the corner and hatching season is upon us. We will be offering chicks this year but not as many as we have in the past. Instead, I'm really recommending you visit our friends over at Hazy Creek Homestead and check out their complete list. Hazy Creek Homestead is an amazing local homesteader that specializes in bringing you quality chicks at a reasonable price. Best of all THEY ARE LOACAL!!! Cut out the big hatcheries and big box store and support this amazing homestead. We have seen and bought chicks from Hazy Creek Homestead and we have never been disappointed, neither will you.

BREADS, BAGLES, AND JAMS
This year we are hoping to offer a small farm stand with all our baked goods available. As of now we do our baked goods as order ahead. We do not do sourdough at this time. Frankly, there are a lot of amazing sourdough homesteader out there and for us its not worth dipping our toes in that pool.

As always stay humble and kind πŸ˜ŠπŸ«‚

I have been nonstop making apple butter. I plan to make a batch or 2 every day until baby comes in early October. We have 16oz (pint) or 8 oz (half pint) available for purchase. These make for great gifts around the holidays. All jars are canned and shelf stable for 12 to 18 months. So get some today while I have the stock. We also have an amazing plum jelly in very limited stock available this year. This is a new one I'm offering for sale and it is available only in 8oz.

It's official!!! We have our first batch of apple butter going for our 2025 season. Its smelling amazing and we can't wait to can it up.

If you'd like to get some we are taking names on a list. Supply will be limited this year due to it being an off year for our apples.

For those that don't know, we make all our apple butter from our trees. We dont use harsh chemicals or aggressive pesticides on our trees. All ingredients in our apple butter are real ingredients you can pronounce. Only 5 simple ingredients makes up our delicious apple butter. Nothing artificial here! Simple, fresh and so tasty.

It has been a hot second since I've done an update.... so let's dive in!!!πŸ”πŸ¦†πŸ“πŸ…

We currently only have about 12 laying hens. Unfortunately, we have lost a lot of them do to our dog. We ordered replacements and hatched some this year so we have 40 new girls on deck to start laying this fall.

As always we did a garden but I did scale back because of exspecting a baby in early October. Well as always over did it on out tomatoes πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ So we will be in full swing canning spaghetti sauce very soon.

Looks like an off year for our apple trees. So hoping to get some apple butter and sauce made, but it isn't a bummper crop like previous years. If your looking for our apple butter goodness we will have a very limited amount this year for grabs.

No meat birds this year for us. Unfortunately, do to how I time out our meat birds they would be due to butcher in November and it was just a bit much to take on while pregnant.

Sadly, I wont be doing any vendor fairs this fall. It has been a real struggle staying on top of everything. I am always open to taking orders for breads, bagles, and muffins, but its by request only for this year. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We are also hoping to welcome new baby goats this fall. So I will try my best to update. I feel like this summer has gone by so fast.

I am hoping to take on some new adventures come spring when things mellow down for us.

As always stay humble and kind,

New birds came in. Ordered these girls back in February. 15 new brown layers and 5 buff orpingtons to raise up. We will be redoing our flock this year due to a lot of our flock being older and not laying as often.
