This past June I was asked a week before my friends wedding to provide bouquets and head table arrangements for her country wedding. This color combination is such a beautiful one. She wanted thistle like flowers incorporated that reminded her of the thistles in the fields so I found these gorgeous love-in-the mist seed pods, with hints of purple. To bring out a country vibe I added pampas grass, wheat and dried white delphinium to her purple and yellow bouquets. I really enjoyed adding some statice and variegated lavender from my flowers. I felt honored to be able to offer my floral talents for this wedding.

My Chinese Asters finally bloomed! Unfortunately only 2 plants out of 10 survived the gophers, but worth the agony and sacrifice. I have never grown them before. They almost look unreal. Going to try growing them again next year.
