There's nothing quite like fall in Sonoma County—cool mornings give way to golden afternoons, and the vineyards turn every shade of amber and rust. This is also the season we've been waiting for: our small-lot wines, made in limited quantities, are ready to share for a short time only.

August is Family Winemakers Month, a statewide celebration led by Family Winemakers, honoring the families behind California wine.

Here in the Petaluma Gap, family is woven into the story of our wine region. Our AVA is home to families who have farmed this land for generations, families who helped establish winegrowing in the region, and a new generation of growers and winemakers carrying those traditions forward.

Among the many family wine stories in the Petaluma Gap are Sangiacomo Family Vineyards, whose deep farming roots have helped shape winegrowing in the region; Keller Estate, where Arturo Keller's vision continues with his daughter Ana; Cline Family Cellars, where the next generation is building on a family legacy through Cline Cellars and Gust; and Lombardi Wines, with Tony Lombardi now sharing the experience of making wine with his sons.

We're also proud of the women creating and carrying forward family wine traditions in the Gap, including the mothers and daughters behind Trombetta Family Wines and Blue Farm Wines.

These are just a few of the family-owned wineries and winegrowing families that contribute to the character of the Petaluma Gap.

They farm. They make wine. They build businesses. They steward the land. And, generation by generation, they help tell the story of this remarkable place.

Each Community Dinner offers something special, and this one was no exception!

From the first pour to the last conversation of the evening, our friends at Origins Food and Drink , Lombardi Wines, and RARECAT Wines created an experience that was rich with energy, flavor, and discovery. Each course introduced something unexpected, while every wine brought its own character to the table.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for making the night so engaging, welcoming, and full of joy. These dinners are built around connection, and this gathering delivered exactly that.
