Founded by a group of young farmers committed to ecological land stewardship, the farm has evolved into a streamlined, production-focused farm cultivating staple food crops. Through FEED, their produce is delivered to restaurants, independent grocers, and home customers (via FEED Bins) throughout the greater Bay Area.

💚 Meet the FEED Team Series! This week, we're spotlighting Ian Stake, our Warehouse/Compliance Manager! Our warehouse is where the magic happens of receiving and organizing wholesale orders, plus packing all our lovely FEED Bins.

🥔 Favorite fruit and veggie: Raspberries and Potatoes

🥬 Favorite part of working at FEED: Working with the incredible warehouse crew and supporting small biodiverse farms.

🥕 Fun fact about you: My first day with FEED was in August 2015. At the time FEED had one walk in cooler that could fit 6 pallets. Today we have over 4,000 sq ft of walk in cooler space!

🍋 Favorite restaurant FEED sells to and dish there: Morningstar coffee (black) from Retrograde Coffee Roasters

🍓 When not working we can probably find you: Playing softball, golf, disc golf, hiking, fishing, camping. Pretty much anything outdoors.

🌱Manuel Reyes of Reyes Farm in his element! Reyes Farm is one of our newest co-op members and right now their summer squash and eggs are hot items. Manuel was a former chef turned farmer and his appreciation for high quality and delicious food shines through.

Lucy, our Purchasing Manager, had a great time visiting the farm in Windsor recently and seeing what’s growing this summer!

Dreamy stone fruit, bursts of blueberries, earthy root veggies, verdant greens, luscious fresh herbs and sharp alliums. All we need now is a drizzle of good olive oil, some flaky salt, a cool body of water and summer is set.
