✨🍈Crane Melons should be on your must-have list this season and here’s why! These super unique melons were developed by local farmers in the 1920’s and still to this day are only grown in this area. They are highly aromatic, juicy and fruity-sweet with a thin skin and bright orange flesh. And because we work so directly with small and local farms, these hard to find melons are available for you to order through FEED!

🍎 Local Fuji Apples from are here! Sebastopol's Cool Coastal Climate results in these premium fresh-eating, high quality apples. Gold Ridge Organic Farm’s Fujis are tree-ripened and fresh-picked for outstanding flavor. FEED is the wholesale market's foremost source for these apples!

🍏 Did you know the average grocery store apple is 14 months old?! These Fuji apples are dessert quality, harvested-to-order, and never held in long term storage, so the flavors are fresh and crisp - better than anything you've tasted. Plus, apples are rich in antioxidants, which lose their potency during long storage. A LOCAL apple a day is what really keeps the doctor away!

🌱 Gold Ridge Organic Farms, nestled in the hills of south Sebastopol, grows organic heirloom apples, pears, olives, citrus, and medicinal & culinary herbs on their 88 acre farm. The farm’s proximity to the Pacific Ocean offers cooler temperatures and coastal breezes 🌊 that apples love!

We're so grateful to have worked with North Bay Jobs with Justice for some of their recent food drives supporting their community of worker-leaders! Their organization is a growing, grassroots coalition of more than 30 labor and community organizations in Sonoma, Napa, and Marin Counties, focused on economic, racial and climate justice for agricultural workers. North Bay Jobs for Justice brings to light how often agricultural workers are at the frontline of climate change and is working to support farmworkers now, while also building a better future for them.

FEED provided fresh, nutritious, and culturally relevant food from our cooperative farms for a few of their recent food drives and we are so appreciative of their support for our local farms by choosing to buy from FEED. An exciting partnership between two organizations dreaming of a better future for small farms and farmworkers in the North Bay!

You can support their work by donating directly to the organization. Donations help make these types of partnerships possible. And head to their website to learn more about the important work they're doing!
