It's a bit late, but today's Peterborough NH Farmers' Market features garlic and herb- rubbed lamb loin chops from Ten Talents at La Bergerie Dumas , served with mint jelly from BikePath Berries and a roasted veggie, spinach and chickpea salad. In the salad was butternut squash from Ledge Top Farm with carrots and onions from Blackfire Farm , with sliced apple, craisins and toasted.pecans and topped with crumbled goat cheese from Bending Branch Farm and a hommade Maple vinaigrette . We had a Merlot from Summit Winery to accompany. For dessert, we splt a craisin-stuffed baked apple from Pup's Cider with Portofino Coffie (with Lion's mane and Chaga mushrooms) from www.mycountrymushrooms.com.

With the unexpected rainy, chilly day, we decided a crockpot was in order.
Our main course was a stew beef ( New England Wagyu ), onion and garlic ( Abenaki Springs Farm ) and mushroom ( www.mycountrymushrooms.com ) cassoulet, served over "smashed" baby red bliss potatoes ( Ledge Top Farm ), made extra creamy with a Horseradish goat cheese ( Bending Branch Farm ), and a piece of artisan sourdough boule bread ( Les Bonnes Miches NH ).
To accompany that was fresh corn on the cob ( Pup's Cider ) and a salad of lettuce, tomatoes, and snap peas ( Partners' Gardens LLC ) and a rich, fruity Pinot Noir ( Summit Winery )
Dessert was a s'more brownie ( Teacup Baking Co., LLC ).
I wonder what we'll find this Wednesday at the Peterborough NH Farmers' Market from 3-6 pm outside the Peterborough, NH Recreation Department Community Center on Elm Street. Come on down and surprise yourself with what's available.
