I haven't posted on this account for quite some time but I wanted to share some of this year's kids.🥰
Two does have kidded so far, both mini nubians. (The standards start next week) Both girls were bred to Echo Hills Mojave Jericho, who I purchased from Lil Bit of Heaven Homestead last fall. This buck has proven very promising in improving our breed character, and his small size will help take down the height of his offspring.
Taconic Mtn Peanut was first to kid and did an amazing job all on her own. All we did was watch it happen, which is exactly what we want!
Introducing Taconic Mtn Cashew and Taconic Mtn Macadamia (Mack)
Both beautiful bucklings 💙 First pictured is Mack, then Cashew. Dam has fantastic capacity, giving just over a gallon of milk at peak, and also has long lactations, a soft pliable udder, great teat placement and size. Dam is a beautifully moonspotted, gorgeous doe who passed some of that moonspotting on to Mack. This little guy will have lots to offer for his own herd of ladies!
Next up is Three Hollows Ramona Quimby, a gorgeous blue eyed grade doe, grand daughter to Tall Pine Acres Lil Rusty Bucket, our trifecta buck (blue eyed, moonspotted and polled!) Mona has been a delight to have and raise. Sweet disposition, and gorgeous to boot. Nice FF udder, smooth fore udder and nice teat placement. She blessed us with 2 stunning bucks, of which we will be retaining one.
First pictured is Taconic Mtn Jacob, blue eyed, flashy, and gorgeous. We have high hopes for this buck to be just as amazing as his sire!
Buckling 2 is Taconic Mtn Jonah, blue eyed, gorgeous, gorgeous boy! In fact, I'll be struggling to not retain both! Dam is pictured last.
