You know how when somebody does something that is supposed to be a nice gesture but it just hits wrong? I got this in the mail today. First I thought big deal an automated message from the State. Then I thought of how bureaucracy works. Somebody who is drawing a salary that comes out of my paycheck had to think of this. Then another person formed a committee and had a luncheon meeting on an expense account to lay out the plan. Then a whole group would be tasked for the artwork and text. Finally someone picked the finest packaging ( for real. No wrinkles) and paid postage to get it to me.
In other words thanks for the thought but a text would have been fine and probably wouldn’t have cost the estimated $2100 to tell me I’m old.

Awe the end of the season and clean up time. None of these gals are aggressive but I know better than to speak while I’m over feeding bees. They will fly into your mouth which is why I’m talking faster at the end of this video. Nobody was stung or swallowed lol.

Walked out this morning to realize I forgot to label any bottles for today’s market. Boy it sucks to start slipping. So anyway I won’t be at the farmers market this morning but I’ll get on it this week and be back next weekend. Sorry.

It’s always something trying to kill my stuff.

I thought I had made it through predator season. I had two roosters that did their job well. They weren’t aggressive unless you upset one of their hens then they would charge around the house to take care of business lol. Bad thing is a good rooster won’t live long when a fox attacks. RIP Randolph and Rudy. I’ve got a hen setting now so hope she makes me at least one rooster.
