Our End-of-Summer Nursery Clearance Starts This Weekend! 🌿
It has been a quiet few weeks at Horton Bay Heritage Farm. Some minor health setbacks required us to slow down and adjust our plans, but work around the farm has continued. The farmhouse and The Glorie Be are getting new roofs, the lumber is ready for the new porch, and we are continuing to prepare this historic farm store for opening next spring.
In the meantime, we need to make room in the nursery!
Our End-of-Summer Nursery Clearance begins this Friday and Saturday and will continue during our fall hours until most of the clearance plants have found homes.
This is not a leftover annual sale. Most of the plants available are long-lived perennials, including:
🌱 Edible plants and perennial food crops
🌸 Perennial flowers
🌿 Shrubs
🌳 Trees
We’ll have lots of $1, $3 and $5 clearance plants, along with larger plants and additional markdowns throughout the nursery. There is still plenty of time for fall planting!
This Weekend’s Hours
Friday, August 7: 12–6
Saturday, August 8: 10–4
Other times will be available by appointment.
Fresh From the Farm
Our gardens are producing, and we are preparing a simple self-serve produce stand so this season’s harvest can still make its way into local kitchens.
Watch this page for updates as tomatoes, peppers and other seasonal vegetables become available. We’ll offer bulk deals for preserving, freezing, canning or stocking up, along with limited informal U-pick opportunities for tomatoes and peppers when quantities allow.
We also have a beautiful bumper crop of farm-grown culinary garlic curing now, with several varieties planned for cooking, preserving and fall planting.
