I am a small, independent home baker whose basic ingredient for everything coming out of my kitchen is LOVE! I love to cook for a crowd because the dividends of a job well done really pushes my "love button", which makes me work harder on each and every job. I love watching the faces and hearing the comments of my clients almost to the point of addiction. In my book, there is nothing better than

giving and getting love from the heart, and for me it solidifies my philosophy: "The way to get to a person's heart is through their stomach" I utilize all of the recipes and cooking skills that I learned from my grandmother and my mom, as well as being self-taught on so many levels, learning as much as I can as I move along. I honed my craft by teaching high school culinary arts for 17 years. Now that I am retired, this new venture keeps me active & happy because I get to experiment with all sorts of new, delicious recipes. Everything I do is custom made to make each event special in every way possible. Because I am the sole employee, it is vital that you book your event well in advance because I will never double book myself for any reason. Quality is paramount to my success, so I will work hard to ensure that everything is produced with the highest standards possible.

Let the wedding season begin!! 💕💕 My first wedding was the union of Megan & Chris Green. They had a most spectacular day for their ceremony overlooking Little Traverse Bay from my MOST favorite venue, Unity Event Center, in Petoskey.
Megan chose raspberry cheesecake shots & mini lemon blueberry cupcakes & Chris chose my signature salted caramel brownie shots with candied bacon, along with my twisted turtles, which are mini phyllo cups filled with caramel & toasted pecans, topped with chocolate ganache.
Wedding cake was a 3- layered marble cake with cream cheese icing. The overall theme/color was lavender & sage. Because the dessert table was set against a window, photos did not come out spectacularly well. 😰

Tonight was Barbershop Quartet night at my mom's assisted living facility & the seniors got entertained by an award winning quartet. Thanks to Cheryl Elgin for inviting me to provide some sweet treats to accompany the sweet tunes! I provided custom decorated Barbershop Quartet themed sugar cookies, some hummingbird cupcakes, some chocolate lovers cupcakes, and some lemon blueberry cupcakes.

It's a beautiful spring day for a bridal shower! These cookies are going out for Liz Hoffman's big day today. These are pure vanilla cookies with pure vanilla icing. Color scheme was gold and white, with lots of sparkles, of course! Thanks to her mama, Lanette Hoffman, for stepping back into my life to bring me some warm hugs and big smiles! 🥰🥰 I hope you all have a fabulous time. And to all of those mothers out there, happy Mother's Day tomorrow!! 🌸🌼🌹💝

Today's event for me was the Storykeepers Ball, being held at The Boathouse on Lake Charlevoix in East Jordan. The special request was for cookies that looked like books. The organizers picked the titles and they will be a door prize. I also provided mini lemon blueberry cupcakes, and mini triple chocolate cupcakes. I hope you all have a wonderful time! Out the door & slated for a fundraising auction at Harbor Light Christian School Jubilee in Harbor Springs.

I'm calling it a chocolate covered strawberry explosion cake. It has three layers of strawberry cake with a fresh strawberries and cream filling, strawberry whipped icing and covered with chocolate ganache and chocolate dipped strawberries. I hope y'all make lots of money for the kiddies!!

This was a first for me. The baby shower was supposed to be on Saturday, but the little bundle of joy decided he was ready to make his dramatic entrance into the lives of his Mom and Dad instead. Thankfully, my cookies freeze very well so they will be ready and waiting in grandma
Kay Bunker's freezer. I ran out of images for Woodland baby critters so I gave them 12 of my favorite baby books in the form of cookies instead.

This little Cutie Pie was born Bunny Easter, who was actually born on Easter Sunday just few years ago. (Now Bunny Marquardt). Today is only the fourth time her birthday actually landed on Easter, so it is extra special, just like she is! Wishing her huge birthday wishes from afar. A special set of these cookies went with her so she could celebrate with her loved ones. 💜💝💛💙

Happy 49th Birthday to Katy today!! This is a triple layer, triple chocolate cake with a raspberry filling. Thanks to Carol Hanes-Nason for calling on me to sweeten up the gathering. 🎂🎉💕

Ta-Da! Here are my first two artisan layered gelatin mold experiments. Here we have a cherries and cream along with a mandarin orange/pineapple lime/cream. The only issue that may be an issue is the time it takes to make these because the layering process virtually takes all day. That being said, pricing will be hard to determine. These two are heading to The Brook in Boyne City today because I am the bingo caller and the bingo group is my new research and development team. 😉. Don't worry, I will have whipped cream to top them, just like Mom used to have for us.

Today is the official retirement day & party for long time business owner, Mr. Dan Kolinski, who is saying goodbye to Kauffman's Furniture so he can enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Thanks to his daughter & new joint boss of the business , Amy Kolinski-Nicholson, for letting me contribute to the party. She told me that he enjoys being on the lake in his pontoon and golfing, so I tried to incorporate those into the design of this double layered vanilla bean cake with a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake filling and topped with cream cheese icing & lots of chocolate goodies. The cupcakes were a combination of either marble/chocolate/vanilla bean.

Happy retirement, Mr. Kolinski. You're going to LOVE it!!
