🛻Our girls took a trip down to Indiana this weekend for the 2023 Noble County Open Dairy Goat Show. There were many competitive classes and beautiful animals in attendance. This show also hosted the Nubian Specialty show which brought in roughly 56 Nubian Jr. Does.

A busy week for our girls. We had milk test on Saturday. Wrapped up kidding season yesterday when Pearl had triplet bucklings. And today was our linear appraisal.

We had an AMAZING day at the Tri-State Classic. Had some great laughs with wonderful people and judges! Our girls did phenomenal today❤️

Early Rise Acres OLA Finley - 1st in her class and Grand Champion in 1 ring

Morning-Glow Roseta - 1st in aged doe in 2 rings, 2nd in 1 ring

Morning-Glow Gabriela - 1st (4 year old) 3 rings, reserve Champion & Grand Champion/ best of breed

Our Leisure Acres Poison Ivy - 1st in all 3 rings and Grand Champion in 2 rings

Our girls wrapped up the 2023 Heart of Indiana Dairy Goat Show!!! This was a 2 ring show with amazing judges and amazing goat❤️

Our girls set out to the 2023 Heart of Indiana Dairy Goat Show. Last night they conquered showmanship and the dairy wether show!

Abby - 2nd in Intermediate😁
Megan - 4th in Senior 😄

Their dairy wethers were put into class by weight
Abby’s Huckelberry placed 3rd in the “heavy weight class” (60+ lbs)
Megan’s Sawyer placed 2nd in the “middle weight class” (50 - 59)

We couldn’t be more proud of these girls❤️

Perfection takes LOTS of practice, the Leisure Acres crew took on disbudding! The past two weekends we have disbudded 228 kids!! Huge thank you to Suga-Breeze Dairy Goats for letting us come out and help❤️

Another huge hobby of ours is driving horse! We have attended classes in Montana, New York, Michigan and we help with carriage rides in Oconomowoc.

Leisure Acres is a small family farm established in 1968, that now specializes in purebred dairy goats. And also many other barn critters. We have been showing dairy goats since 2019 with our amazing set of showman!
