Our community isn’t confined to one area. It is woven through Wrightwood, Phelan, and Pinon Hills. We worship in Wrightwood, shop in Phelan, and have built our lives in Pinon Hills. We are the tri-community - three individual communities, but so much stronger together.

My family and I have been part of the High Desert since the 1990s. I graduated from Sultana High School in 2008. My husband is a proud transplant from Whittier and has called the High Desert home since 2010.

We attend Hillside Community Church in Wrightwood. My husband works at General Atomics in Palmdale, and our boys wrestle and attend Serrano High School - where my husband also volunteers as a wrestling coach. When our children attended Pinon Mesa, we both volunteered there consistently and frequently. My husband also helped coach wrestling there as well.

We support our small local businesses every chance we get, and many of our favorite places to eat and shop are right here in our tri-community.

We love being rooted in every corner of this community.. Pinon Hills, Phelan, and Wrightwood. This little stretch of desert has felt like home from the moment we arrived.

We’re not just a business that operates here. We live here. We raise our family here. We worship here. We volunteer here. We support this community BECAUSE we are part of it.

I feel incredibly blessed & humbled to be in a position where the growth of The Crafted Crumb has allowed us to purchase another commercial bread oven. I’m not going to downplay that. I’m really freaking proud of it.

I’m proud of how far I’ve pushed this business. I’m proud of the risks I’ve taken, the long hours I’ve put in, the sacrifices my family and I have made, & the fact that I kept going when it would have been easier to slow down or even quit. I’m proud of my self growth as I’ve turned into a stronger person - mentally, spiritually and physically.

This business was built from the ground up. There were no shortcuts. No overnight success. No handouts. Just hard work, consistency, faith, determination, & a whole lot of figuring it out along the way - especially being completely self taught.

Another oven means we’ve reached a point where we need more capacity because the demand is there & honestly, that’s an incredible position to be in. When I was baking one loaf at a time in my home oven, the idea of two commercial ovens was never even a thought. I would have thought it was unattainable. So yes, I’m celebrating this win.

I know exactly how much work went into getting here. There are days I don’t sit down for 15-18 hours straight. Days I miss meals. Days off that get sacrificed. Days I don’t respond to messages or return phone calls until I sit down for the night. Late nights. Early mornings. Sore muscles. Constant decisions. Constant pressure. Constant self growth.. & through all of it, my family & I built this. We earned this.

My journey has been far from easy. I have been keeping my head down, worrying about my own goals, taking one baby step at a time, & making myself my biggest competition. I’m always trying to beat the person I was yesterday. I am constantly innovating, learning, growing, mastering, changing.. When you start doing big things, you’re going to make big waves.. Don’t be afraid to light up your own path, to make your own way, to go against the grain. That’s where you need to be.

Keep building.
Keep growing.
Keep showing up.
Have faith in yourself.
