These kits are officially 8 weeks old. Given that we had 4 days last week with heat index at 119, 2 days at 111, and 2 more at 109 & 106, & their decreased appetite due to the extreme heat, I'm pretty happy with these weights! The 3 that didn't make 4 lbs are only 2 and 3 oz behind. We didn't lose anyone due to heat. TAMUK rabbits are definitely the way to go!

We let this page sit for a bit while we got everything unpacked and a little more settled.
We've had one batch of meat chickens grown out and filled our freezer. We'll be ordering chicks again in the fall. Today we'll breed Shasta and Coco and next weekend we'll breed Cleo, Rustie, and Harley.
And - the new sourdough journey is going very well! I've learned how to bake so many new things and am considering a small vendor spot at the farmer's market for the summer break when school is out.
