Well folks, at the risk of adding to the overall bad vibes going around, it pains us to have to make an announcement no business owner wants to make: as of January 15, Ladybug is going on an indefinite hiatus.
We’ve decided not to renew our lease at , and while we’re not sure what the future holds for us—we might move, we might sell the business, or maybe we’ll just stop altogether—all we know is that regardless of what course of action we decide to take, we’re gonna need to take some time to recuperate—physically, emotionally and financially.
We’re still planning on honoring all of our commitments till January 15th. We still have two vegan cheese and cider pairings at on November 22nd and December 27th (you should definitely come to those cause they’re awesome!) We’ll still be able to fulfill your online holiday orders (in fact, bring them on!) and if you have a monthly Deluxe Vegan Assortment subscription, the last delivery for those will be in January. Who knows, maybe we’ll even pop up somewhere or something. But after January 15th, Ladybug is going dark and the honest truth is that we don’t know how long or how permanent it’ll be.
Anyhoo, just thought we’d let you all know. We feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to cater to such an amazing community, and we’ll never forget how you embraced our little upstart vegan cheesemaking business from the jump and propelled us with your support and encouragement. It would be lunacy to try to thank everyone who helped us cause it would literally be all of you. So we just wanted to acknowledge that, with all the gratitude and admiration we can possibly muster.
