With the double h*mocide this week, its been tough being a Philly sports fan 😮💨 but today is our shot at redemption so let’s get excited 🦅
if you’re heading out for the game, here are my favorite bars and the vibe at each one:
✨ Stateside Live: what will always be Xfinity Live in our hearts, is now Stateside Live! and we love her. orange crush bar, riding the bull and the biggest slice of pizza in the city at Lorenzo’s. starting your day here at a Smooth tailgate is always a bit of chaos with a long open bar and good music, aka the place to be a menace 🤭
✨ McGillin’s: a Philly classic. apparently everyone meets the love of their life here, and if you get a table, stay because if ya leave you’ll be lucky if they let you back in and if they do you’re standing
✨ Cavs Rittenhouse: big, classic Center City sports bar with good energy but you’re probably standing
✨ Lucy’s: good vibes and hot Rittenhouse people, but tables can be hard to get
✨ Urban Saloon: my all time fave Fairmount bar for any occasion, especially a game. huge space, TVs everywhere, and the music, drinks and energy never miss 🙌
✨ City Tap House: reserve a table with no cover. usually packed and more of a sit down and eat spot, with solid game day deals
✨ Chickies and Pete’s: same sit down energy but in South Philly, so perfect after tailgating. crab fries, tenders, cheesesteaks and b**r 🍟
✨ Bar-Ly: fun Chinatown spot with awesome game day deals
✨ Garage: fun and crowded, but watch your drinks and your friends because it can get rowdy
✨ Green Room: fun small neighborhood bar with some outside seating and TVs, cash only
✨ Founding Fathers: neighborhood bar that gets packed early, so plan ahead
