Philadelphia Mead Well Philadelphia Mead Well (3525 I Street Unit 201) - First Philadelphia Meadery focusing on craft alcoholic beverages made from honey.

About the same time that oil was struck in West Pennsylvania, intrepid prospectors drilling in Philadelphia struck something far sweeter. They stood back in awe of the stream spouting from the well head, astonished at the delicious aroma that filled the air. Dipping their fingers into the liquid and tasting it, these lucky men realised they had discovered the world’s first honey bearing rocks; and

the liquid pouring from the ground was pure honey. It didn’t take long before a tavern was built at the site, and the honey was transformed into a rich, golden mead that delighted everyone who drank it.

Do you have experience in brewing/fermentation process or are passionate about craft beverages?

Our company is looking for a talented, self-directed individual who can join us on our journey to introduce new flavors to the craft beverage industry.

Responsibilities include:
- Conducting day-to-day production operations
- Maintaining clean and functional facility
- Monitor quality, flavor and carbonation of mead
- Assisting in bottling/packaging
- Opportunity to assist in recipe development and representing Philadelphia Mead Well at events

Requirements:
- Passion for craft beverages
- Ability to learn on the job
- Ability to work a flexible schedule: days, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs

Preferred candidates:
- Have experience in a brewing/wine-making role (including home-brewing)
- Are mechanically inclined
