Thanks to Philaport for bringing the World Trade Center of Central PA (WTCCPA) to the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market today. It was a great day learning about port operations as well as the phenomenal 700,000 square foot produce market and their partner Sharing Excess, who rescues and redistributes fresh produce to those in need.

The WTCCPA is a non-profit organization that promotes international trade and connects companies in South Central Pennsylvania to global opportunities.

Thanks to the Two Rivers Walking Group for checking out the PWPM today!

We had a great time walking the facility (which is the equivalent of the Empire State Building if it was placed on its side), chatting with the knowledgeable (and often charming and funny) vendors, and discovering exotic and beautiful produce. We also stopped by Sharing Excess to discuss the win-win way they rescue perfectly nutritious produce and send it out to underserved communities!
