Happy Saturday. Let’s talk cake.

There’s a common misconception that we carry Stock’s pound cake.

We do not. We never have.

For roughly the last 20 years, if you’ve had a slice of pound cake or taken home a whole one, from T&F, it’s come from Sweet Sam's Baking Company, a bakery out of New York.

I understand this fact may be difficult for some of you to accept. But it’s true.

If you’ve had any of Sweet Sam’s cakes or brownies, you already know how fantastic they are. But to the uninitiated, I cannot stress this enough: you are missing a delicious opportunity to satisfy that sweet tooth.

The pound cake is fantastic. The brownies are ridiculous. And if you’ve been eating them all these years thinking they were something else… well, now you know.

Stock’s is a long-standing Philadelphia institution that has more than earned its reputation.

But here at T&F?

Sweet Sam’s takes the cake. And they have for 20-ish years. 🎂

A little salt. Pepper. Oregano.
And mayo… all mixed together.

Use a fork, use your fingers, scoop with chips.
