A special b**r for a special lady. Meet Bernice. 🍻🍊🌿

“Bernice” is the second release in our exclusive donor-named b**r series. Last year during our “Future Without Cancer” fundraiser, our good buddy Jeff (from Geoff in the Burbs fame) made a generous donation that earned him the right to name a future b**r. He chose “Bernice” in loving memory of his kick-ass grandmother.

“Bernice” is a classic West Coast IPA loaded with Crosby Estate-Grown Chinook and Centennial hops (honoring what would be her 100th birthday on Oct 22). Expect citrus peel and Juicy Fruit notes with a dry, dank finish.

Here’s how we’re celebrating Bernice:

🍺 $1 Per Pour: Bernice lived with Parkinson’s Disease, so from today until Bernice’s 100th birthday, we’re donating $1 from every pour to Unshaken: A Parkinson’s Charity. Unshaken is an incredible South Jersey-Philadelphia community-based support program for people suffering from Parkinson’s disease consisting of education, physical training, community awareness, and advocacy.

Fresh b**r drop! Meet Hauntingly Familiar, our very first Cold IPA (6.3%).

Isn’t all b**r supposed to be cold? What makes it a “Cold IPA”? Well we brewed this one with flaked rice and fermented it with l***r yeast at slightly warmer temps, and dry-hopped it with copious amounts of Krush & Citra. The result? A super clean, ultra-crisp hoppy b**r bursting with notes of Pineapple gummy bears, ripe apricot, and passion fruit.

Game recognizes game in this hoppy hybrid that is Hauntingly Familiar to both a Hoppy L***r and West Coast IPA.

It’s about to be a wicked October. Don’t be scared. Join us for spooky season brews all month long!

🐕 October 1: Our friends Street Tails Animal Rescue were hit hard by a recent flood, so from 5-7pm, come sip on some Ales for Street Tails, enter raffles, meet adoptable pups, and send some love their way. Plus, catch the Phils at 8 — sound on. 10% of all-day proceeds will be donated to the doggos.

💂October 11: Rise and shine… the Eagles are calling from LONDON. With kickoff at 9:30am, we’ll open up early — doors at 9am — for the Birds, bagels, and b**rs. This watch party showcases a special collab with our friends Do215 ft. a FD gift card giveaway and more.

🏀 October 20: NBA Opening Night deserves a TUESDAY special open at FD. Don’t miss LeBron and the new-look Sixers as they take on the reigning Champion New York Knicks. Doors at 5 ahead of the 7pm tip.

⁉️October 22: Join us for Grand Trivia Night at the taproom starting at 7:30pm with rockstar host Allen on the mic.

🌱October 23: Our friends City Planter will get you into the Halloween spirit with a “Terror-arium” making class. Space is limited — sign up link in bio.

🦅 October 26: A bonus Monday night opening for FD to watch the Eagles crush the Cowboys. Doors at 7pm ahead of an 8:15pm kickoff.

👻 October 29: Start your Halloweekend off right with a BOOzy Bash at FD! From 7-10pm, Vinyl DJ Steven Ferrell mashes up some monster tunes in the upstairs taproom as Amy’s Pastelillos takes over our downstairs bar. Best costume wins a $31 FD gift card — winner selected at B**rtender Ronnie’s discretion.

Drink up, outbid your friends, and make an impact! We’re thrilled to announce that our second annual “Future Without Cancer” fundraiser will take place on Friday, November 6 from 7-10pm.

Your $75 ticket includes:

🍺 An open Future Days B**r bar 
🎗️ A hefty donation to the Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center Patient Services and Special Needs Fund (helping individuals undergoing cancer treatment)
🎤 Music by the incredible Taylor Kelly
✨ Silent auction and 50/50 raffle 
🔔 An evening of joyous and heartfelt support for those in the fight

Happy return of the NFL season, and a big GO BIRDS to all who celebrate. Projector/TVs and sound on for all games* this season at FD — plus, mark your calendar for few extra special season highlights:

🔥 Week 1: Sunday, 9/13 - features a North By Texas (NXTX) pop up. Nothing better than BBQ and the Birds — it’s as simple as that.

🏈 Week 3: Monday, 9/28 - a rare Monday night opening as the Eagles take on the Bears — doors at 7pm.

💂Week 5: Sunday, 10/11 - Rise and shine… the Eagles in LONDON are calling! With kickoff at 9:30 AM, we’ll open up early for the Birds, bagels, and b**r. This game features a special collab with our friends Do215 — more details to come.

📚 September 2 - It’s Back 2 School (Movie) Night! Join us for an informal community book swap to refresh your shelves, then stick around for a showing of cult classic School of Rock at 7:30pm. We’ll also be collecting school supplies in support of Cradles to Crayons Philly — bring new school supplies if you’d like to donate!
