A huge shout out to my daughter, Nicki, for taking care of Triangle Ranch Bed & Breakfast while I was away helping ailing relatives.Especially for adapting when our central air conditioning unit for the downstairs bit the dust! With temps at 100+ our guests were still well taken care of. She's an old hand, having "innset" while there were floods, when the well went out and even once when the stove died! Many thanks Nicki! ❤️

We've all had "that mentor" in our lives who may never realize what an hour of their time and wisdom meant to you. Phillis Thorson was such a one. My first knowledge of the Farmstay/Bed & Breakfast business was through Phillis. 30 years ago, as the dream was nearing reality for us, I visited Thorson's Homestead Bed & Breakfast for a tour, coffee and goodies (of course). While confiding my fear we might not be ready for our May 1 opening, she patted my hand and said "dear, no one really comes until Memorial Weekend. It will be alright". We are now honored to host some of her family for that dear lady's memorial services. "Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others, cannot keep it from themselves".

A momentous event happened here last Saturday. Great Grandma Grace's elegant piano came home after 86 years. Her daughter, my Great Aunt, Mary Armenia Williams Wheeler, (the baby girl pictured in Grace's arms with her prized piano in the background of their old log house) inherited her mothers piano, refinishing it with care and it's keys were played by three generations of her family. Honoring Grace and Mary's memory, their son, grandsons, great and great-great-great grandsons assisted in moving it back to it's original spot where it sat in this house when it was newly built. Full circle! So grateful.

The old Triangle Ranch kitchen is full of Joy! Pardon the pun, but it truly is. Like any home, it's the heart of the house. A morning with dishes to wash means I had some amazing guests and heard their stories over breakfast. (Also, old fashioned Joy dish soap performs best in our water)
