Thank you to my son, daughter in law and amazing grandsons for a great Mothers Day trip. They took Jason and I to Polyface Farms to do a farm tour. We had a wonderful day❤️

We came home with so much great information. We are going to make a few changes on the farm to make it run more efficiently, improve our pasture soil and grass, build some chicken tractors, etc.

Also, thank you Alicia for my new favorite t-shirt……..she knows me well! And thank you Kyle for the delicious dinner you cooked us when we got home. I am feeling very blessed!

ON THE FARM, homestead edition!

Our hard working farm hands (grandsons) loading the guinea fowl chicks into their new coop. The chicks will stay in this coop for another few weeks and then will be released to free range on the farm.

Farm Fun Fact:
Guinea fowl are highly effective, natural tick-control agents, often described as "tick-hunting machines" that can consume hundreds of ticks daily without damaging gardens by scratching like chickens. They are proficient at eating adult ticks, providing a chemical-free way to reduce tick populations

ON THE FARM……. Homestead edition.

Our building is complete! This building will be for storage, egg production, brooder boxes……. and I’m sure a calf or piglet, if one would need extra love and attention.

Thank you once again to my father, Gary Fragmin. And my amazing Uncles, Greg and Guy Fragmin. Jason and I appreciate you all more than words can express. We love you!

We wanted to thank Jody Carpenter from the WVU Extension Service and Jacob Gray for coming out to the farm to do blood draw pregnancy testing on a few of our heifers. It was an eventful few hours with the cows. There is always one that cow that wants to behave like they’ve never been in a head shoot lol. So, thank you Jacob for wrestling around a 800 lb heifer in a very tight loading shoot!! And thank you Jody for the patience in teaching me how to preform a blood draw myself!
