It was a busy day in the farm today as we finished up our 2026 Corn Silage crop and covered the pile. Here's a birdeye view of the activity.

Thanks to everyone who helped during the harvest to keep the cows fed for the winter!

Yesterday the Pesko & Harper families hosted the 2nd Annual Cow Chase Invite for the Phillips Cross Country teams. It was a beautiful night out on the old Churock property. There were two grandkids running this year - Nick (Jeremy & Steph Pesko) and Ally (Bill & Kristen Harper.) Each runner received a chocolate milk after the race, plus medals for the top 10 boys and girls in high school and middle school, and bucket hats for the top boy and girl in 5th-12th grade. Sound like fun for your school district? Reach out to get put on the information list for next year. Thanks to all who stopped by and cheered, grabbed some food, and enjoyed the evening!

We FINALLY got some rain here last night! It's definitely too late for some of our fields, but we'll take what we can get!

What a fun day we had at Books in the Barn! Thanks to Linda & Mary from the Phillips Public Library for joining us. We read books, had snacks, sat in the choper, watched the cows and calves and took home a book to remember the day. Thanks for sharing your day with us and learning about the dairy industry.

Today Jeremy and Nick took the 1967 Ford 4000 to the Price County Antique Association Antique, Tractor and Car Show. The tractor was originally purchased new by Mike Pesko in 1967 from Medford Motors. It was well used over the years, and Jon had it restored by Cherokee Garage around 2009. Nick, shown here, is a 4th generation Pesko driving the tractor.

The corn likes the weather this week! It's definitely passed knee high! It will take a while for it to reach Nick's height - he's growing quickly too! As for Jeremy ...

Happy 4th of July!

The hot and humid weather isn't for everyone, but it definitely makes the corn grow!
