Never a dull moment when you have cattle! Got home from a church league softball game last night at 10 pm and saw this heifer in the headlights hanging out outside the fence. Thanks to my amazing cowgirl of a wife we got her back in with no problems!
These cattle are finishing out very nicely and will be ready to fill your freezer in January 2025!

I watched Landon our 3 year old (in the red shirt) today walk right up to the fence and wait for the calves to come over to him. He talked for a couple minutes while he had all their attention then he walked away. When I asked him what he was talking to the calves about he said "oh just singin them ti**le ti**le little star." This is one of the many tricks we have up our sleeve to get this beef to make prime quality!
January 2025 will be here before we know it. We will open up order taking in the next month!

It's been a fun couple of days. These calves have been on our pasture at the farm since early March but it was time to split up the 22 head for the summer months to get them more grass. They are now divided between 3 pastures and will enjoy wide open grazing until October before our big round up bringing them back to headquarters!
We even had our future cowboys out supervising!
Stay tuned, we will be taking early orders for this prime quality beef starting in the next couple months!

Just like that the free food for the cattle is gone. Took the cattle off the corn stalks yesterday, took the fence down and worked the ground. They have no complaints though, they are off to enjoy the grass pasture!
