I'm giving Jourdian the weekend off from cooking 🤪

Soda bar only this weekend! It's gonna be a hot one and a nice cold *clean* soda will hit the spot. Flavors are starting to sell out, and we are not restocking through the season anymore. Our sodas are made with sparkling mineral water, the flavors are made with cane sugar instead of corn syrups, they are caffeine free, and almost all of them are dye free as well.

Standard and mini loaves
Organic fresh milled loaves
Soft sandwich loaves
Pizza crusts
Burger buns
Bagels - plain and everything

Eggs (pasture raised, fed a non-gmo and corn/soy free grain) - both chicken and duck this week

Meats (pasture raised, fed a non-gmo grain) - CHICKEN IS BACK!!!!! We have a few whole birds as well as cuts (packs of breasts, thighs, etc). Pork is fully stocked as well, including nitrate free bacon.

Side bar - we have had SO many messages asking about chicken availability. Chicken will not stay stocked for long, I fear. Many of you are planning to stock your freezers for winter, which is excellent. I haven't accepted prepayment for anything to make this as fair as possible. Come to the market tomorrow or the farmstand this coming week for your best chance at chicken from this batch. We have a second batch going to the processor early October, and then we are processing whole birds ourselves on the farm the day before Thanksgiving. Just wanted to keep you informed!

Freeze dried treats - watermelon, peaches, pineapple, Italian seasoned cherry tomatoes

I did bag up a few bags of dried whole elderberry and dried dandelion leaf!

We will have Fischer's Family Farm lettuce again this weekend

You know the rest - canned goods, fall scents in candles/melts/linen sprays, tallow skin care, soaps, lip balms, face oil, and roller perfumes

Note - with the temps being so high, I will have to rotate things in and out of the freezer to keep them from melting. If the shelves look bare and you don't see what you came for, just ask! Chances are it's cooling off.

We'll see you there, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Okay, maybe sleepy and melting but either way we'll be there 🤣

The came back on in a big way after the burnout incident 😳🫶🏼🫶🏼 Huge shoutout to Redeemed Heritage Farm for being willing to help us out during the row crop harvest by taking them to The Owensboro Regional Farmers' Market along with our living lettuce this fall. Tomato picking will depend heavily on the weather for the next few weeks. Today we’re shut down for rain so we were able to pick them. Off the farm is the easiest easy if you’re able to schedule the pick up because we don’t have to pick the whole batch.

We here at Fischer's Family Farm would like to take this time to say how much we appreciate every single one of you! I don't care if you only ever just stopped to say hello or bought from us every week. You guys have supported us more than we could have ever imagined. While market season is over for us due to other farm work we are still going to try to get lettuce to the market via Redeemed Heritage for as long as possible. Even if you don't need lettuce you should check redeemed heritage out because they have some wonderful products. Hill view farms will have our micro greens in their store OR I am doing custom whole trays from this point until next market season, just get with me and we can get it growing for you. You can also call or message us to set up a pickup time to come to the farm and get your lettuce and hopefully cherry tomatoes for a while yet.
Once again we just can't Thank you all enough for your continued support for our farm. You keep us going and striving to provide better produce! Much love and God bless you all!!

We had significant burning in our plants so we decided to do something out of the norm for us. We let the suckers take over. It’s a mess in there but the new tomatoes are coming!

WOW!!! all I can say is WOW!!! and THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! you guys completely floor me. We were sold out of lettuce by 9:30 and we sold every micro green, tomato and cucumber we had. We brought home absolutely nothing.... Well nothing except the goodies we bought lol
We cannot begin to thank you all enough for your support and friendship. We hope to see you guys next weekend! We will be there with all our produce.
