Bach and Beethoven are not bottle babies! They are just really, really friendly.

All of the attention Beethoven has had over the past 4 weeks because of his injury , his brother got too! We recently wethered (castrated) both of these love bugs and decided to keep them! For pets! For joy!

However, they aren’t adjusting to the cows getting attention haha. It’s so funny how they always try to make sure they get our attention back.

These 4 are going to have so much fun at Farm School in the fall! ❤️🐑🐮

Puberty Season + Lambing Season left us feeling empty on all fronts and asking the Lord for direction.

After lots of prayer, we decided to try to cut out numbers and focus on quality - quality animals and quality time with our people and our animals. I decided to cut my flock down by 3/4!! This was a huge cut that was a super tough decision and took months to decide. But Running 60 sheep isn’t for the faint of heart, and we needed to refocus our mission and vision for this place God has blessed us with.

We decided to bring the joy back to our littles while they are little! And these 2 ladies are just the ticket.

The sheep have spoken. After lots of trials and errors, they agree, they love their mineral bar.

We have tested the soil!
We have tested the hay!
And guess what… they go for what we are deficient in!

We feed them free choice minerals from along with garlic salt, baking soda, Redmond salt, and kelp from .

Raising our flock of quality sheep has been a learning curve, but I’m so grateful for these quality companies that provide us with what our little lambies need every day!

School is out for us, which means it’s a beautiful day for a horse + family adventure at Germanridge!

The past couple months on the farm have felt heavy and difficult. Lots to do, little time, and a feeling of overwhelm easily crept in.

It was time to get some miles on these horses and step away, remembering the joy all of the work can bring!!

That’s our mission this summer- remember the joy of farm life!

Here’s to more trail rides and sunshine! ☀️
