Hi everyone! Since I am heading off to college in September, it is time for me to do one last special for Macarons That Matter. I will be taking orders of a half dozen or a dozen macarons maximum. I'm going to have 3 flavors available to choose from: strawberry, s'mores, and vanilla. Once 6 dozen macarons are ordered in total, I will close the ordering window (first come first serve). Thank you so much for your ongoing support of my business for the last two years. I hate to limit how many orders I can process, but there’s so much to do in preparation for college. Hi everyone! I would like to thank you all for supporting my business since July 2020. My business has grown so much over the past 3 years and it has allowed me to grow as my own person as well. I have taken a pause on collecting orders this year because of college applications and multiple tests/finals. In the fall, I will be attending the University of Washington in Seattle on a pre-med track. While this is super exciting, it does mean that I have to close down Macarons That Matter. It has been an amazing experience running this business, and I am so thankful for you all and the community for helping me raise over $8,000 for various nonprofits and charities. To close out Macarons That Matter, I will be holding a special in mid-August. For 5 days, I will take orders for 6 or 12 macarons of 3 flavors (tbd). I will only accept orders within this 5 day window, and I will deliver all of these orders by mid-September. As always, 75% of all proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit or charity of your choosing (from the list on my website). I will post the exact dates of the special as August approaches. Again, thank you so much for the continued support and I am so thankful for all that this business has granted me!

August’s Flavor of the Month is Neapolitan! This classic ice cream flavor of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate is now transformed into a macaron. Yesterday, May 3rd, the Supreme Court voted to strike down the Roe v. Wade decision, according to a leaked initial draft majority opinion. By repealing Roe v. Wade, decisions pertaining to abortion rights will be granted to state governments. Thirteen states, have established “trigger laws” that would automatically ban abortion in the first and second trimesters when Roe v. Wade is overturned. 5 states, including Arizona, have decades-old abortion laws that were invalidated by the Roe decision, but could be brought to life again if the case is repealed. An attack on abortion rights is a direct attack on women’s rights, and of the rights of anyone with a uterus. SCOTUS’s decision to override Roe v. Wade is a historical setback for our country, and we must do everything in our power to protect our access to basic human rights and health care. If possible, please donate to Planned Parenthood and/or the Abortion Fund of Arizona to help preserve reproductive rights. Abortion rights would be up to the states if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade. Two dozen states and territories would ban it immediately, and 13 have “trigger laws” waiting for the ruling.
