Join us for an evening of regional Thai cuisine and Lauer Rieslings from the Mosel, Germany! Those who have dined with us before know our affinity for Riesling—its remarkable range of expression, and its quiet ability to both frame and withstand the bold, layered flavors of Thailand.

Presented in the Arai Kodai format, this is a menu built for discovery: six courses, eight Rieslings, each poured and plated as a surprise. In the spirit of our original Lom Wong pop-up dinners, this will be a communal table, with dishes shared among each party. Join us on the adventure!

We’ve always viewed Lom Wong as more than just a place to share delicious food. It’s an opportunity to start a conversation—about how to sincerely celebrate the diversity of culture and cuisine, and how to approach another country’s traditions with curiosity and respect.

We know we do things a little differently than many American or European-style restaurants. The dishes we serve are prepared just as they are in the villages the recipes come from. We don’t course dishes out; instead, everything is served to be enjoyed together, just as meals are shared in those villages.

For some guests, that can feel unfamiliar—and that’s okay. We believe Lom Wong should be a place to explore, learn, and experience Thai cuisine on its own terms.

Lom Wong turned 4!

It’s still hard for us to comprehend how it all happened. We opened Lom Wong in about two months while Yotaka was very pregnant. Less than three weeks after opening, we had a baby (on our day off) and then came back to the restaurant for weekend service. Even now, we don’t really know how we pulled it off other than necessity and believing in what we were building.

This year has been wild—from the accolades and growth the restaurant has experienced to the ways we’ve grown personally. But through all of it, the most important thing has been the community we’ve built here in Phoenix and the connection it’s created between our home here and our home in Thailand.

From the beginning, our goal has been simple: to share another side of the cuisines of Thailand and present them in a way that feels sincere to how they are served back in the Kingdom.

It’s not always easy. We couldn’t do it without such a passionate team who believe in our concept and carry it out with so much intention.

Lom Wong has given us more than we ever expected. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us, believed in us, and shared this journey with us. You’ve made it possible, and it truly means everything. 🇹🇭

Ba Buey Khlak Ti: Moklen crispy pork belly curry with coconut cream and makrut lime leaf. While the Moklen are predominately a seafaring people, they pride themselves on the quality of their pork as villagers allow the pigs to run free range. Everybody in the village takes care of them.

Yai Lap, the wonderful lady we stay with when we visit the Moklen, loved her pig “Ee-Dok” so much that she refused to sell it. She even slept outside to be near her.
