~CLOSED TEMPORARILY FOR SUMMER SEASON 2018~ AS I AM SURE THAT YOU ARE ALL AWARE OF, IF YOU HAVE LOOKED AT THIS PAGE, THAT WE HAVE NOT POSTED ANYTHING ON IT SINCE LAST AUGUST. THIS HAS BEEN A BAD YEAR FOR OUR FAMILY HEALTH WISE AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO OPERATE THE FARM THIS SUMMER, NOR WILL WE BE MAKING AND SELLING ANY NEW PRODUCTS THIS SEASON. I HAVE TO UNDERGO A MAJOR SURGERY THE THIRD WEEK OF JUNE THAT REQUIRES A RECOVERY TIME OF AT LEAST 2 MONTHS, WHICH BASICALLY BLOWS THIS WHOLE SEASON. WE HAVE ALREADY MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR ANY NEW LAVENDER WE YIELD IN JUNE AND THEREFORE WE WILL NOT BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC OR BOOKING ANY EVENTS DURING THIS TIME. I APOLOGIZE TO ANYONE WHO HAS SENT A MESSAGE OR TRIED TO CALL OUR LAVENDER NUMBER AND NOT RECEIVED A REPLY. THIS CONDITION HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE SEPTEMBER AND IT HAS FINALLY BEEN DIAGNOSED. THE SURGERY IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS SHOULD BE ABLE TO ALLEVIATE IT AND HOPEFULLY I WILL BE BACK ON MY FEET BY FALL. FOR ANYONE WHO HAS ALREADY BOOKED AN EVENT WITH US IN THE FALL WE WILL, OF COURSE, STILL HONOR OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU; AND OUR STAFF WILL BE ABLE TO EXECUTE IT WITH THE SAME HIGH QUALITY THAT YOU EXPECT FROM US AND WE EXPECT OF OURSELVES. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING. ~LINDA HALLMAN

We continue to pray for all the victims who have suffered and continue to suffer from the horrendous effects of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and now Hurricane Maria and the massive earthquake in Mexico City. Lord, please wrap Your arms around these families and give them strength and hope as they work through this devastation. As unlikely as it seems to them at this time, there will eventually be another rainbow. Isaiah 43:2

Labor Day is over for another year and all is quiet at Ooh La La Lavender Farm once again. Six boys, ages 8, 6, 4, 4, 4, and 15 months...and one precious 4 year old girl, Della (who was a total sport with all these boys!), descended on the farm and were generous enough to bring their parents with them! We don't quite know what to do with ourselves now without the kids here to rule!

I dropped my brother, Joe, off at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport yesterday to catch a flight to Africa. He is going with a group from Atlanta on a 10 day mission trip to install a water filtration system at a camp outside of Nairobi and to spread the word of God. After a 15 hour flight, including a 4 hour layover in Germany, they should be arriving in Nairobi right about now. We pray that God will watch over them and keep them safe from harm during their time there and that their mission will be successful. It looks like a lot of luggage for ten days, but they are all carrying the components for the filtration system with them in their luggage. May God bless them and support them with his grace and return them all home safely and soundly to their families!

OOPS! I totally dropped the ball this morning! There was some major miscommunication between myself and my staff this week. The employees who were supposed to work this morning did not realize they were scheduled for today, and I did not realize they were not here at 8:00 a.m. until some customers arrived. So needless to say, we got a late start this morning and I am sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused anyone. I don't know what happened, but I am blaming it on the eclipse! Not the fact that I am getting older and POSSIBLY more forgetful and/or confused.😵 I need a vacation!

Now that we have all made it through the eclipse, we will be open Saturday, August 26th, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. ...
