We encourage abundant varieties of plants including native species to nurture free-living

insects and urban wildlife in effort to create a balanced eco-system . Our vision is in building a closed-loop self-sustaining micro-climate and eco-system through slow implementation of soil building and thoughtful planting methodologies to maximize the garden site for balanced and low input high output productivity. Further more, we are lazy and it is hot in the desert, so it must thrive with an element of independence! We offer seasonal fresh fruit and produce as excess becomes available throughout the year for sale and various edible, medicinal and ornamental starts and established plants, grown with primarily organic methods and without the use of organic or non-organic pesticides (we don't kill bugs!). We are not open to the general public, offerings are available by appointment only- This page is used to advertise our available goods and share our 'trowel and error', successes, inspirations and the overall peace and happiness we experience daily through discovering our environment each day and observing life.

I’m Heather Green, head plant propagator and sole proprietor of Herb and Heirloom Gardens. As a desert native I began my journey of ‘growth’ through propagating plants and producing nutritious eco-conscience foods in my backyard.

I offer seasonal unique edible and ornamental heirlooms plants, veggie starts and medicinal ayurvedic herbs that thrive and survive in our desert climates.
