September and October cooking classes are posted!
I know it is crazy that August is almost over and the kids are already going back to school. Vacation mode may be coming to an end, but at least we have some really fun classes to look forward to.

We will be cooking our way through Italy, Greece, Provence and Spain, making fresh pasta and homemade Chinese takeout, baking seasonal pies and, of course, making pierogi.

The classes are hands-on, relaxed and always include plenty of food and unlimited kombucha. They are such a fun way to spend a date night, have a girls’ night out or do something special with your child.

Happy Saturday, bucha lovers!

It’s the last weekend before school starts, and I know you need to stock up on kombucha for the busy week ahead

Apparently, I’ve been on quite the baking streak lately, so today’s menu is packed:

🌶️ Breakfast Sausage & Cheddar Biscuits with Honey Jalapeño Glaze

✨ Superfood Goji Power Squares—these are to die for! They were my kids’ favorite snack during workouts and regattas. Made with organic cashews, almonds, tahini, sesame seeds, h**p seeds, goji berries, quinoa, and honey

August is almost over, kids are heading back to school, and vacation mode is officially coming to an end. But there is plenty to look forward to—our September and October cooking classes are LIVE!

I love teaching cooking classes, but the art of fermentation will always be my favorite subject to teach. It is real-life kitchen magic!

Microscopic bacteria take the simplest ingredients and transform them into something completely new—more flavorful, more nutrient-dense, easier to digest, and able to last much longer.

Yesterday, we made sauerkraut and kimchi, and everyone went home with a jar of each to continue fermenting. Now they get to watch—and taste—the magic unfold in their own kitchens!

A Culture Factory is overflowing with deliciousness today—and BLUE PINEAPPLE is back on tap! You asked, and we listened. 💙🍍

On Thursday, I went to Urban Roots Farm with one simple mission: pick up cantaloupes for our next brew. Naturally, I came home with half the farm. Their organic produce was simply too beautiful to resist—and today, you get to taste what I made with it!

Our fridge is stuffed with:

🍅 Slow-Roasted Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes with basil-infused organic extra-virgin olive oil
🌿 Basil Pesto made with sprouted biodynamic almonds
🌶️ Kombucha Vinegar-Pickled Jalapeños
🧀 Caputo Brothers Marinated Mozzarella with organic extra-virgin olive oil, garlic and herbs—and it is absolutely to die for!
🍆 Georgian Country-Style Eggplant Salad with peppers, onions and fragrant Georgian spices

Today’s baked goods:
✨ Vatrushka—brioche-style Eastern European pastries: • Organic heirloom tomato and Birchrun Hills Farm fromage blanc
• Polish kielbasa, fromage blanc and house-made sauerkraut
🍪 Breakfast Cookies—like a freshly baked, deliciously chewy granola bar disguised as a cookie. Vegan and gluten-free!
🍋 Lemon Ricotta Cake made with fresh Caputo Brothers ricotta and served with blueberry sauce
🍑 NEW Glazed Peach Jam Sourdough Focaccia, filled with house-made jam made from Frecon Farms peaches

🔥 SATURDAY, AUGUST 15 | 4–6 PM
KRAUT & KIMCHI
Make your own sauerkraut and spicy kimchi. Each person takes home one jar of each to finish fermenting!

Tomorrow at A Culture Factory is going to be GOOD! Come hungry because we have a very special guest joining us—Vesta Kitchen will be bringing an incredible selection of their beautiful pastries!

And yes, as promised, our Caprese Sandwiches are back! Made with fresh-out-of-the-oven organic sourdough focaccia, juicy local organic heirloom tomatoes from Urban Roots Farm, and fresh mozzarella from Caputo Brothers—all slathered with sprouted almond and basil pesto and finished with a drizzle of balsamic reduction.
We’ll also be blending our Black Magic and Golden Hive smoothies, and pouring eight refreshing, bubbly brews on tap.

Last week, we sold 45 Caprese Sandwiches in just 90 minutes, so come early if you want one!

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who came out today, and I am truly sorry to those of you who didn’t get one. I honestly did not expect them to disappear that quickly!

I heard you loud and clear, though, and I will be making double the amount next Saturday. Thank you so much for showing up and loving these sandwiches as much as I do! ❤️

Happy Saturday!

Well, guess what? I found a beautiful pastry case on Facebook Marketplace and simply couldn’t resist buying it. And what better way to show it off than by filling it with pastries? 😂

So today, in addition to our much-anticipated Sourdough Focaccia Caprese Sandwiches, the new pastry case will be filled with:

🍪 Breakfast Cookies — 3-ounce organic cookies that are vegan, gluten-free and made with rolled oats, maple syrup, bananas, sunflower seed butter, cranberries, raisins, pumpkin seeds and chia seeds.

🥐 Two different vatrushkas — Eastern European brioche-style buns. One is filled with sauerkraut and kielbasa, and the other with fresh local corn, peppers, ricotta and basil pesto.

🍋 Ricotta Lemon Cake — my absolute favorite! It is moist, just lightly sweet and completely acceptable to eat for breakfast. Served with a side of blueberry chia sauce

We will also have our refreshing kombucha smoothies, because pastries and smoothies make a perfectly balanced Saturday breakfast. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. 😂

Our Sourdough Focaccia Caprese Sandwiches will be available starting at 11 a.m., made with organic sourdough focaccia, basil and sprouted almond pesto, thick slices of local heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella from Caputo Brothers Creamery.
