Running a small business means living in the world of supply and demand. Keeping existing accounts and earning new ones is what keeps the wheels turning.
We are grateful for every wholesale account that carries Baba's Brew, but some partnerships feel especially meaningful because they align so closely with what we believe in.

Five years ago, getting our kombucha into felt like a dream come true. An internationally recognized destination just 20 miles from our brewery, surrounded by extraordinary gardens and a deep appreciation for plants, nature, and beauty. A kombucha infused with herbs, berries, flowers, and spices grown by local farmers seemed right at home there.

Over the years, thousands of bottles found their way into visitors' hands through their grab and go café and gift shop. Many of you sent photos of yourselves holding Baba's Brew at Longwood Gardens, and those messages always made me smile. It also gave out-of-state visitors a chance to enjoy our kombucha even if they lived far beyond our delivery area. ❤️

Recently, Longwood Gardens decided to reorganize its beverage program and is no longer carrying Baba's Brew. That is entirely their decision, and I respect it.

At the same time, I have always believed in the power of customer demand. Businesses listen to what their customers buy, request, and support.

If you enjoyed finding Baba's Brew during your visits to Longwood Gardens and would like to see it return someday, let them know. A simple comment or request can go a long way.

And regardless of where you find our kombucha, thank you for supporting local businesses like ours. Every bottle, every share, and every recommendation matters more than you know. 🙏🙏🙏

Yesterday, I was driving when an acquaintance called and asked if it was a good time to talk.

"Perfect time," I said. "I'm on my way to Berks County to pick up some local organic strawberries."

"That's an hour drive!"

"An hour and ten minutes," I replied, laughing.

"They must be giving you one heck of a deal if you're driving that far for seconds! "

I laughed again.

The funny thing is, those imperfect strawberries cost me more than the organic strawberries shipped in from Mexico.

More than 20% of produce never makes it to the grocery store shelf simply because it doesn't look right. A strawberry is too small, a peach is oddly shaped, a tomato has a blemish. Perfectly good food gets tossed because it doesn't meet someone's idea of beauty.

A few years ago, I bought nearly a pallet of local peaches after a farmer told me a buyer had rejected them because some of the pits were split.
The pits were split. Who the heck cares about the pit!?!

The peaches were sweet, juicy, and absolutely delicious.

I am not delusional and I realize that my tiny little company isn't going to change the food system by buying a dozen cases of imperfect strawberries, but I believe in the butterfly effect. Small things do matter.

I also believe that beauty has very little to do with perfection. Whether it's fruit or people, what matters is what's inside.

And those tiny, misshapen strawberries I picked up yesterday? They are the best taste of summer I've had all year.

Every small business begins as something fragile—full of hope, hard work, and no guarantees. Like anything new in this world, it needs care, belief, and a community willing to help it grow.

When we launched Baba's Brew 11 years ago, was one of the first to truly support us by bringing our kombucha into their stores. That kind of support changes everything. It gives a young business roots, momentum, and the confidence to keep going.

They helped nurture our little company into the strong business we are today, and I will always carry deep gratitude for that. 🙏

Today, as Kimberton Whole Foods celebrates the opening of their beautiful eighth location in Exton, we celebrate right alongside them.🎉

This stunning new store shines a light on dozens of local makers and small businesses. That matters more than most people realize. Every time you choose local, you are not just buying a product—you are investing in someone's dream, someone's family, and years of hard work.

So when you raise a glass of our bucha, know that it exists because a community chose to believe in small business. 🥂

Who said working at the kombucha brewery is boring? 😂
When a fresh SCOBY comes out thin and see-through, all productivity briefly stops.

Next thing you know, grown adults are holding it up like a window and cracking themselves up.

Just another normal day at Baba's Brew.😉

This month, we celebrate the women who make Baba’s Brew what it is. And today—it’s all about Sarah

4.5 years ago, she walked in with a marketing brain (Sly Fox, Drink Philly, Temple grad) and somehow became one of the most talented brewers we’ve ever had. Turns out, she doesn’t just understand flavor—she feels it.

Sarah is the one behind so many of the words you read on our bottles. Every dreamy description, every little story in a sip—that’s her magic.

Outside the brewery, she trades brewing tanks for a horse named Zulu and wins at places like Devon and Ludwig’s like it’s not a big deal. 🏇🏆

She’s been married to her husband Dan for 7 years, lives with two very loved pitbull mixes (Gordon and Miles), and if she’s not brewing or riding—you’ll find her at the movies. Twice a week. AMC list strong. Body horror preferred.

Sarah brings heart, grit, creativity, and just the right amount of weird to everything she touches. And Baba’s Brew is better because of it.

We love you, Sarah.

Bubbles and respect ❤️🐿️❤️

Found this video from five years ago — my daughter, just 11 years old, answering the phone at our tasting room in the middle of COVID.

At that time, we truly had no idea whether we would survive or quietly close our doors. The world felt uncertain, fragile, and heavy for everyone, including our customers, our family, and every small business trying to stay afloat.

And yet, you showed up for us.

You came in, placed orders, shared our posts, brought your friends, and chose to support a small local business even while your own future felt unclear and unpredictable. That kind of support is not something I will ever forget.

We turned our space into a small artisan market, brought in nearly 30 other small makers, and ran it as a full family effort, with our kids helping, answering phones, packing orders, and doing whatever was needed so we could keep the doors open and the community connected. It was not polished, it was not easy, and it was certainly not planned, but it was real, heartfelt, and deeply human.

As Baba’s Brew turns 11 tomorrow, this video feels especially emotional to revisit. The days back then felt incredibly long, filled with uncertainty and constant problem-solving, yet somehow the years passed in a blink.

We are still here today because of you and because you believed in what we were building even during the hardest chapter. Your support did not just help a business stay open; it allowed us to continue living our dream, to keep creating, and to keep pouring something alive into this community we love so deeply.

Bubbles and Peace,
Olga Sorzano
