Here's a photo of the last heifer found in El Monte on Thursday. We were able to get all the paperwork cleared and get her released to the farm sanctuary as promised.

Many people wear crosses. Not many have them embedded in their body in the form of two screws to hold together a hip. ✝️🙏

Couple of things to note on what has been a wild week.

- The owner actually broke his hip while helping to corral the cattle. While his surgery today was successful, he remains in a great deal of pain and will face a long road towards recovery.

- While it seems like it should be simple to donate an animal to a sanctuary, strict but important regulations that are in place to keep animals and humans safe apply in the situation. We're in process of releasing the last cow found.

The lone remaining cow on the loose after 40 escaped from a Pico Rivera slaughterhouse was found Thursday miles away in South El Monte.
