One of the craziest things we've seen on the farm is the cross pollination of our blueberries and the Bradford Pear. These shoot up from the base of (or close to) the blueberry bushes. They look so similar until they get to a certain height. Then the stems start to gray up and grow these crazy thorns. We are having to cut these out every year. If you have Bradford Pear trees, please, cut them down!
