I am Tamara Geiser. We attend Chestnut Level Christian Church in Belmont, Ohio. I am leading the fundraising efforts for the Fruit Basket Ministry to support families in the surrounding communities. We have 60 baskets (an additional family was nominated) to fill. We need to raise $3185 to fill the baskets with 20 lbs of banannas, apples, oranges, tangerines, nuts, strawberry jam, raisins and hot chocolate. The current amount raised is $1,830. We have a deficit of $1,355. If we can raise an additional $1,500 for a total fundraising effort of $4,685, we can add a $25 gift card to the baskets. We're asking for $25 donations but will accept any amount. Please see the photo for a QR code to donate via GoFundMe or Venmo. If you would like to donate by check or cash, please reach out to me. Donors (unless anonymous) will be listed on our website and flyers going out into the community.

There are so many groups and private citizens that have boots on the ground in these devastated areas. Many have volunteer opportunities. When making donations, be sure to verify the legitimacy of the site you're donating through as many copycats are coming online to intercept/steal much needed aid.
