Triplets on Easter Sunday! Spring has sprung!

Sheep update: One week of grass left for the sheep flock. We have fed a total of 3 bales to sheep so far this winter. About 6 weeks before we start lambing.

We still have 2 weeks of stockpiled grass left, but today will be the last day of fresh grass for the cows for a bit. They will be switching to hay for the next week or so.

Weather gurus are forecasting 8-14 inches of snow but the cows are fat, fluffy and up for the challenge. Cows and sheep are both in a wind protected area and ready to see what we get!

The cows are living the Good Life and getting a fresh strip of stockpiled grass eat day. Each fall the first freezing temperatures elevate the sugar content in fescue, making it amazing feed this time of year. It only gets better the further into December we go. Calves are growing and everyone is thriving!
