Just a heads up, we won't have sourdough this week at the market. My sourdough starter isn't happy with me forgetting to feed her regularly this week and I need more time to get in her good graces again😅. We will have TONS of yummy cookies though.

Found these popsicles at Costco last time we went! These are perfect on days like today and especially perfect since my littlest is dye free and can’t eat typical popsicles!
We sold out in less than two hours today at the Kosciusko County Farmers and Artisans Market which is a great problem to have! We are doubling our inventory for future markets. We now offer preorders for pick up on Saturdays at the Market so you can be sure to secure your sourdough bread!

I’m a vendor (The Funny Duck Farmstead) at the Kosciusko County Farmers and Artisans Market every Wednesday (Wednesday’s start next week) and Saturday from now until the end of September! We are starting off this weekend with sourdough breads, sourdough cookies, and sourdough bagels. Maybe some sourdough cinnamon rolls too— we will see if I have time! 😅🤪 We will be adding non toxic candles and skin care products, and other farm goodies as the season.
Here’s a big batch of cookie dough that will be 50 cookies once baked!
What’s something you swore you would never do or like, but now you do it or love it? For me it’s gardening, I never thought I would be so excited about these plants and growing our own food, but here we are!

Fresh baked sour dough! Sourdough can be quite a commitment, but that feeling you get when you nail a loaf is worth it!
I think I finally figured out scoring for sourdough 😅 I can’t wait to see how it looks after it bakes!
I started our seeds today! I’m excited to see how they do! I have plenty more produce to plant as well as lots of flowers for a cut flower garden this year. The goal is to feed our family and whatever we have an abundance of, we will take to the farmers market with our fresh bouquets. 💐
I found a recipe for liquid laundry detergent that’s non/low toxic! It’s super cost effective and makes 5 gallons! I’m testing this detergent out this week to see how well it does with our clothing and bedding. If it works well, would anyone care for the recipe? I would say, AT MOST, it cost $5-6 to make 5 gallons worth— which is next to nothing when you look at prices for traditional detergent (plus this doesn’t have all those nasty chemicals and ingredients in it!)
Visited our local health food store (Warsaw Health Foods) for a remedy for an ear ache and decided to try these teas!
We ran out of ketchup and instead of ordering more with our grocery order, I thought, “I could probably make that!” So here’s my lunch with homemade ketchup— no processed sugar or corn syrup needed!
Here’s our two Swedish ducklings! The girls are so excited about our new friends and keep asking to see ”the babies”. 🤍
We are infusing a variety of things to use for skincare products.. Any guesses on what’s infusing?
Jingle loves his baby ducks! He heard them making noise while I was changing their bedding and water and wanted to take a (supervised) peak.
